Fourth of July had become a crazy holiday for Kiana and Josette. They would always attend a party at some rich kids house, get black out drunk, and wake up the next day in their own beds somehow. But this year was slightly different. Sandra was in New York finishing a movie and J.R had decided to fly there and surprise her after her last scene, which left Kiana alone with her little brother. Knowing she couldn't go anywhere with Marcus, Kiana invited Jo over so the two could devise a plan. Josette sat on top of the kitchen island snacking on a bag of chips while Kiana made a grilled cheese for Marcus.

"So, what are we gonna do?" Asked Jo as she reached into the bag of lays chips. "Not like we can take Marcus with us"

"What if we host our own party?" Kiana suggested. She placed the grilled cheese on a plate and slid it beside her friend. "Marcus, your foods ready!"

"Coming!" He shouted from the living room. Marcus ran in and sat beside Jo. "Can I be invited to your party?"

The question caught both girls by complete surprise, they didn't know Marcus had heard them. "There's no party" Jo lied.

"I heard you talking about it, you're pretty loud"

"Okay, look, we are planning one but you better not tell mom and dad or else I'll literally kill you" Said Kiana, waving around the knife she'd cut her brothers grilled cheese with.

Marcus nodded. "I won't, but only if I party with you guys"

The two friends looked to each other and shrugged, it seemed that would be the only way to get Marcus not to tell.

"Fine, but do not drink anything unless it comes from me or Jo, got that?" Marcus grinned from ear to ear. "I hate you so much"

"Sure you do"

"Back to the party. How are we gonna get enough people to actually make it a party?" Josette questioned.

"We can invite our friends and tell them to spread the word" Says Kiana. "It'll be easy"

"What about the alcohol? Can't have a party without it"

Kiana hadn't thought everything through. If she took any alcohol lying around at home her parents would surely notice, and she couldn't exactly get any with a fake ID since it was very likely that she would get recognized as Sandra Stevens daughter.

"Fuck" She muttered.

"Ooo! I'm telling mom and dad you said a bad word" Said Marcus with a mouthful of grilled cheese.
