The sunlight was bleeding through the cracks in the blinds, which prompted Kiana to pull the covers over her head.

"You've gotta wake up" Leah pulled the covers off of the singer. "I swear to god I'm gonna drag you out of bed if you don't get up in five seconds"

Kiana had mumbled something unintelligible, though it was most likely some sort of curse word directed at Leah for forcing her out of bed.

"Finally. I got us breakfast while you were sleeping"

"Yeah, just uh give me a minute"

Leah nodded and left the bedroom to give Kiana a minute to wake up. The singer grabbed her phone off the night stand and opened her messages with Jack Antonoff.

Do you think you're able to
meet me at the studio?
I have an old song I want to record

𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗲
Yeah of course
When should we meet there?

𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮
In half an hour maybe?

𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗲
Works for me
Better not be a sad one this time
I'm joking, but you're killing
me with all these breakup songs

𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮
It's not, I promise Jack

𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗲
I'll see you there Kiana
Don't show up an hour late

𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮
I won't

"So, what's this song you wanted to record?"

Kiana pulled out her phone and opened her notes app. "Why don't you take a look?" She handed Jack her phone and allowed him to scroll through the lyrics.

"Kie this is- it's beautiful" He let the phone drop to his lap. "Who's it about, Julien?"

"I wrote it a while back, but yeah, it is"

"Were you thinking about releasing this soon or were you gonna put it onto your next record?" He asked.

Kiana hadn't put much thought into it, she just wanted to record the song. "No clue, I guess it can be a single"

"Alright then, why don't you go right on in there and we can start"

Kiana nodded and walked into the recording booth, but quickly snapped a photo of her with the headphones over her ears and posted it to her story. She turned towards the glass and saw Jack give her a thumbs up, signaling her that she can start whenever.
