Chapter 9

Athena woke up to a cold winter Sunday morning, the windows of her dorm were foggy, tomorrow is Christmas, The red and green Christmas decorations all over the corridors, today was Christmas Eve. On the 25th December was also the Yule ball scheduled.

For the students of Hogwarts, the holiday season was a much-awaited time of year. During the two-week-long Christmas break, some students would choose to travel home via the Hogwartsexpress, while others would stay behind at the castle.

Athena made the decision to stay at Hogwarts with her cousin Gabriella, to experience the Yule ball.
Iris, being too young to attend the ball, had gone home to spend the holidays with their family at their Manor.

The manor was located in the middle of nowhere, deep in the tall grass. It was a large manor, and a well-known landmark in the region. They lived all together, including their cousin Aurora and her daughter Dolly.

Athena reached into her closet and pulled out a pair of black jeans that fit just right. She paired them with a bold cherry red sweater. She finished off her outfit with a pair of polished black Doc Marten boots.

„You sure you wanna wear that?" commented one of her roommates, her Girl group giggled, „Well if I was you I wouldn't wear that color, and the boots...you look like a Emo." Another girl who was obviously the leader of the group added „Theodore doesn't really like that color"

Athena responded, "I appreciate your concern, but I am perfectly capable of dressing myself. If Theodore has a specific color in mind, he's welcome to wear it himself" She continued "I choose to dress for myself, not for anyone else's approval, especially not from someone who wears ballerina flats with thick socks"

Athena made her way down the hall, as she turned the corner just as Gabriella came running up, a smile lighting up her face. "Good Morning! Did you sleep well?" Athena, still slightly tired responded „Morning, it was okay how about you?"

„Well aren't you bundle of joy! I'm better than ever!" Gabriella took her hand and pulled her toward the Great Hall. "Come on, let's get some breakfast, it will lighten up your mood"

Athena and Gabriella sat together at the Hufflepuff table, waiting patiently for breakfast to start. As they chatted, Athena brought up the topic of Theodore's pranks.

"I can't stand guys like that," Gabriella said. "It's one thing to play a harmless prank, but to go out of your way to bully and embarrass someone is just awful."

Athena defended him a little, „Well he's not straight up bullying me, just pulling some pranks" she continued, „once I met him on the Astronomy tower and he was surprisingly nice"

Gabriella nodded knowingly, „He does seem like the class clown, but still you shouldn't let him get away with it too much, what did he say?" Athena replied „well he offered me a cigarette, and chatted a little" Gabriella made a weird expression „he offered you a cigarette? he acts like you're some kind of junkie"

Athena stated „I'm not instantly a junkie!" "Athena, you can't be smoking!" Gabriella exclaimed. "If Caesillia finds out, you'll be grounded for sure. Not to mention it's bad for your health."

Athena shrugged it off. "It's not a big deal, Gabriella. I was just trying it out. Besides, I coughed violently afterward, so it wasn't even that good."

Athena murmured „But when I got back to the common room some student, already instantly knew I was with him on the tower" Gabriella „What? you already have a stalker haha, who was it?"
