Two-Bit was more than head-over-heels for Marcia. I mean, she was a real looker and was a great artist. He figured out that she loved to paint. She was real good at portraits and scenery. He admired that.

In the time of the 'greasers' and the 'socs', Two-Bit and Marcia's relationship was found weird from both sides, but the greasers were pretty glad Two-Bit could bag a damsel like her. The socs on the other hand, they talked down to her or tried and tried to convince him that he was terrible and would ruin her life.

Everyone, especially Cherry, kept telling Marcia that Randy was better, and offered her a future, but she could care less about that adventure. She wanted thrill and to experience the future as it was happening, not know what the rest of her life would look like. She wanted the adventure and the surprises.

In other words, the socs didn't want Marcia with that greaser. They had their solution: jump him.

And jump him they did.

Many times.

But Two-Bit knew how to fight back, and he knew how to fix himself after. Bandages and beer.

Marcia was scared for him, more than anything.

"Two-Bit, I don't want you getting jumped all the time! Maybe we should be-" Marcia spoke one day, but her boyfriend cut her off.

"We ain't separating. I'm not letting this relationship not work. I love ya' more than anything and I'm willing to sacrifice anything to be with you. If that involves get jumped and beat everyday buy a bunch of preppy bastards, so be it."

"Oh Two-Bit!" She swung her arms around him. "I'm sorry, I just hate seeing you with cuts and bruises so often," Marcia squeaked.

"It's nothing."

Not only did Two-Bit sacrifice his physical heath for Marcia, she sacrificed her reputation, but she could care less. It was her reputation from the school. Once she graduates, no one will remember her.

Marcia always proudly walked down the halls with her arm in his. She wanted people to know they were together.

Even though she lost friends along the way, she had Two-Bit, and that was all she needed. Plus, she'd get to meet his friends someday. I mean, she already met Ponyboy, and Johnny before everything, and she thought they were quite wonderful.

They would sacrifice anything to be with each other, so that's why Soda always called them Romeo and Juliet.
