"I feel like all my nice clothes go missing whenever I need to go somewhere." Lexi huffs to Jordan as she goes through her closet. There were obviously tons of options, but Lexi tended to exaggerate things.

After Lexi had managed to stop crying, it was almost like she shoved all her feelings in a box, and forgot about them. She did that a lot, so much so that it continued to alarm Jordan, but they've known Lexi for a long time and it seemed to work for her. So they just let her feel how she wants to feel, and are there for her when the boxes need to be unpacked.

"You have plenty of options." Jordan stops what they were doing and walks over to Lexi's closet. "You could wear the blue one." They say pulling out the short light blue dress on one of the hangers.

"Blue flushes me out, I need something that matches my tones, like a red, or black." She explains to them, as if it were obvious.

"I'm wearing red and black." They respond.

Lexi just shrugs. "Fine, you can have red and black. But, there's still no way I'm wearing blue."

"Maybe ask Cate if she has anything you can wear." They suggest going back to whatever they were doing before Lexi's big conundrum. "I'm sure she'll let you borrow something."

It's like a light goes off in Lexi's head. "Why didn't I think of that? Cate always has exactly what I'm looking for, it's kind of scary actually."

She quickly leaves the room, and goes down the hall to Cate's door, and knocks, waiting politely. A second later the blonde girl appears at the open door. "Hey, Lexi. What's up?"

Cate gets out of the way of the door, allowing Lexi in. "I was wondering if you had something I could wear tonight."

She notices Luke sitting on the couch and sends him a small wave that he returns. Cate smiles brightly, "I was hoping you'd stop by, I found this beautiful white dress in my closet the other day." She tells her. "I don't even know why I have it, I could never wear it, I'm too pale, but it'd look perfect on you."

Cate walks over, opening her closet, and pulls out a short white sleeveless dress. It looked beautiful, but there was one thing about it that was concerning to Lexi. "It's beautiful, really, but do you have anything with sleeves?"

That was Lexi's expectation for everything she wore. She was so self conscious of the black veins that spread across her arms and sometimes even her back, that she almost never wore something without sleeves, even in the middle of a Miami summer, back home.

"Sadly, no. Dresses with sleeves are more your thing than mine." Cate tells her. "But it would look really cute with a pair of gloves that go almost to your elbow, and the black leather jacket with the sleeves that stop almost at the same point."

She was right, that would look cute, even if Lexi's fear of showing her veins to the normal world might end up happening. "Here." Cate says, handing her the dress. "I'll lend you a pair of my gloves, and the jackets in the closet, at least give it a try."

Lexi couldn't say no, seriously, she couldn't take Cate's sad puppy face, so she grabbed the gloves and jacket, then headed to the bathroom. She changed quickly, and looked in the mirror. She did look great, but she couldn't help but notice the small sliver of her skin between the glove and the jacket.

She walks out of the bathroom and Cate immediately gushes over the outfit. "You look gorgeous!" She exclaims. "Luke, tell her how great she looks."

He turns to look at the outfit. "You look beautiful, Lex."

"Are you guys sure? I mean, you can see some of the veins between the gloves and the jacket. I don't want to draw any attention to us." She lets her fear take over.
