"Where the hell are we now?" Andre asks, looking around from the office of a building that looked like a home-made shooting range.
Lexi and Los' eyes go wide, recognizing this place but becoming blissfully unaware about who's secrets would come out of it. "We're in Mexico." Lexi tells them, walking over to the framed picture of Lexi and Los that they're mother had put on top of the supply cabinet.
"It's a shooting range. Our father owned it, operated most of his deals out of it." Los explains. "We spent a lot of time here."
"And let me guess, Cate's never been here?" Marie asks, realizing the connection between Jordan's memory and the twins. "Her memories and ours must be bleeding together."
"Which means we have to get the hell out of here fast." They all nod, walking out of the office, towards the door, when they hear a shot go off, making all of them stop in their tracks.
Lexi, who had been the last of the group to leave the office looked over at the younger version of herself, wearing large headphones, while her father stood behind her, trying to help her aim the gun. "Is that you?" Marie asks.
"When we were younger we didn't know about what our father did, we thought he was a good guy who was just teaching us how to shoot for fun or something." Los explains. "Looking back on it, him letting two six year olds shoot guns probably was the first hint that he was a horrible father."
Lexi walks closer, over to her younger self. She had thick curly hair, and was wearing a bright pink tank top. The younger Los was right next to her, like he always was at that age, in a red t-shirt.
The two targets were easily distinguishable. Lexi's had shots scattered across the board, while Los's had just one big hole from the repeated shot fired in the same place at the center of the target. "Looks like someone was a child prodigy." Andre chuckles, but all humor was gone from Los's face.
"We should go." Los said, grabbing Lexi's hand and walking towards the door.
"This is your memory isn't it?" Lexi asks, pulling back on his grip. "There's something that happened that you never told me, isn't there?" He didn't answer but the look on his face was enough to make her know the answer.
She pulls her hand out of his grip and watches as both Lexi and Los take off their large headphones, setting them on the small table-like shelf in front of them. "Good job, kid." She watched her father tell her. "Why don't you go find your mom and see what she wants for dinner."
She nods, walking away in the direction Lexi could only assume who mother had exited from before the memory took place.
She watches as Los goes to run after her but is stopped by their father. "Hey, Carlos. Why don't you come with me. I want to show you something."
They all watch as a younger Los follows his father outside to a locked storage shed. He takes the key out of his pocket and pulls it up, revealing a bruised, beaten, and broken man tied to a wooden chair.
"What's going on, Papi?" Los asks.
His father just shrugs him off. "This man stole something from our family, and we don't tolerate people who steal from our family. So we're going to make him pay."
Lexi watches in horror as her father pulls a gun out of his waistband and places it in Los's hands. "And you're going to be the one who makes him." Their father tells him. "You are going to start small, a shot in the leg or arm. Let the pain sit for a while and then shoot him again, if he hasn't talked by then, he will be dead either way."
"Papi, I don't want to do this. I want to go back inside with Alex." He explains.
"Yes you will, because when I am gone, it will be your job to take care of this family, so you must learn eventually." He commands.
