"I think I'm gonna puke." Lexi says, slowly getting out of her bed. It was already light outside, but she didn't get to sleep till well after it was dark. "Jordan, wake up." They groaned, she knew they were awake, just choosing not to move.

She got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom. She grabbed a rubber band, tying her hair up quickly before pulling the toilet seat up and puking up black. "Why are you puking?" Jordan yelled from their bed.

"Do you just cover your ears when I talk?" She yells back, flushing the toilet and going over to the sink to brush her teeth. "I'm so fucking hungover. There isn't enough aspirin in the world for this shit."

Jordan moves slowly sitting up in their bed, while the bathroom sink runs and Lexi brushes her teeth. "I'm literally sweating cocaine."

Lexi comes out of the bathroom going over to Jordan's bed. "Maybe don't do cocaine?" She tells them, and they just roll their eyes at her.

"It was black again, wasn't it?" They ask her, and she just nods. "You know you can't take that much pain, Lex. One of these days it's going to have more of an effect than just vomiting poison."

"I couldn't just let her die there, because of us." Lexi had an unmatched level of empathy for others, she hated seeing people in pain, and hated when there was nothing she could do to help someone suffering

"WE." Jordan points to each of them. "Didn't do anything. Andre's the one who tried showing off." Jordan gets out of bed, going over to the bathroom. "It's not our responsibility to fix his mistakes."

"What good is having superpowers if we can't use them to help people?" She asks honestly.

"We're not superheroes, Lexi, at least not yet." Jordan stops in their tracks, instead walking back over to Lexi, sitting next to her. "And sometimes it can be more dangerous for us to use our powers, especially people with powers like you."

Lexi seems upset by this, she hated her powers ever since she got them, but she's finally at a point in her life where she is starting to accept herself. "I love your powers, Lexi, I really do, but I've also seen what they can do to you."

"I'm fine, JJ." She tells them. "I can handle it."

"Until you can't." They get back up and walk back to the bathroom, this time closing the door behind them.

Lexi lets out a huff and falls back on to Jordan's bed. After a few seconds of sulking, her phone vibrates, she grabs it and sees the email from Brink:

Good Morning Lexi,

I was hoping to talk to you this morning. Do you think you could stop by my office when Jordan comes down.

See you then,

Brink

"Shit!" She shouts. Jordan comes out of the bathroom, confused by Lexi's outburst. "Brink wants to talk to me. What if it's about last night?"

"Calm down, would ya?" Jordan tells her. "He probably just wants to make up for your meeting with Los from yesterday." She had forgotten about that, Jordan was probably right.

Both of them get ready and walk down to Brink's office, when they get there, Jordan sits down at their desk, and Lexi knocks on the door, opening it slowly. "You wanted to see me, professor." Lexi says in a small shy voice.

"Good, you're here. Come sit." Lexi closes the door behind her and walks over to one of the two chairs sitting in front of Brink's desk. "We have a bit of a problem."

He takes out his phone and turns it towards Lexi, on it was a video of Lexi from last night, taking the pain from the women. "I-I'm so sorry. I know we shouldn't have snuck out, and you're probably really mad at me-"
