The hairs on the back of her neck rose, and she reluctantly turned around. The woman was standing right behind her, so close that she could almost touch her. "I," she told her stupidly, "Don't believe in ghosts."
She smiled, and her mouth moved, but no sound came out... at least any that she could hear.
"I am not crazy," Lisa said emphatically.
She shook her head, and her expression was reassuring.
Lisa wasn't reassured. "This is nuts," she said, her eyes never leaving her face. "It's a joke, right... Some twisted welcome to town? Who are you?"
