The sound of applause rang in his ears, hundreds of people standing there smiling, applauding and cheering the death of Riko Amanai.

Memories of that incident flash through his mind, Gojo carrying her lifeless body, her hand hanging limp. Surrounded by ignorant humans, who rejoiced at the death of an innocent person. The applause got louder and louder, causing his ears to ring, making them almost bleed.

Geto woke up with a gasp, sitting straight up in his bed with shock. Chest heaving, heart racing, wide frantic eyes searching his room.

It was the third week in a row that he woke up in a cold sweat. The events of that fateful day still plunging his mind. Waiting for his heart to calm down, Geto hung his head low. A loud knock on his door, made him flinch. Jerking him from his thoughts and saving him the mental torture.

Swinging the door open he found Gojo Satoru his best friend, grinning from ear to ear, almost manic like.

"Ohioooo!" He sang out. Inviting himself into Suguru's room.

"Pretty gloomy in here no?" Gojo remarks, causing Geto to huff out in impatience.

Geto had been keeping his distance from his friends, everyone actually, since that incident. Choosing to remain aloof and stick to himself, going out only for lessons. He didn't eat, he slept poorly and he surrounded himself in dready gloom.

Thinking he was concealing his feelings well, Geto didn't bother otherwise with what others thought. Gojo Satoru, his best friend and fellow classmate, had picked up on that energy and was determined to fix it. He couldn't stand to see his friend walk around, answering everyone in mono-syllables and grunts.

"Mission for us two, Yaga Sensei wants to see us in his office." Gojo said in an eager voice, eyeing his friend cautiously, knowing that the last time they were summoned, led to events that still tortured his friend.

"Hnm." Geto grunted in acknowledgement, moving to get ready. Gojo left the room. Taking long strides until he was out of earshot. He met up with his group, the other students gathered around the corner of the building, eyeing Gojo with hope.

"So? Did it work?" Shoko asked curiously.
She peeped out from behind the wall she hid. Nanami leaned against the conjoining wall, leg propped up, arms crossed in front of him. His charming face adorned with a look of distaste and annoyance.

"You know, if you keep giving everyone that look, how do you expect to cheer Geto up? Perhaps he's getting encouragement from you!" Gojo said pointing at Nanami and booping him on the nose with his pointer finger.

Nanami narrowed his eyes at him, brows drawing together in a frown, the only reply he gave. His reaction earned a boisterous laugh from Haibara who smacked Nanami on his shoulder in jest.
