July 28th, the baby was coming.

Charles and Mila flew into Madrid before Carlos had phoned his sister to say that Isa had gone into labour.

Charles and Mila drove to the hospital after picking Carlos Sr and Reyes. The four wouldn't go into the room until the baby had been born, but they wanted to be there as soon as possible.

In the waiting room, Mila clenched her hands nervously, which Charles noticed, placing his hand on top of hers.

"They will be okay Mila. This is a great hospital."

"That is true, I know. I'm just nervous for no reason." Mila felt a tear forming in her eye, she wiped it away quickly before Charles could notice.

"Mila mi Vida, are you okay?" Reyes said to her daughter, noticing her red eyes.

"Yes mama, I am just nervous for her."

"I understand Mils, but they are in very good hands here." Her father's voice reassured her.

Mila wiped away another uncontrollable tear, giggling. "He just said the same thing." She patted Charles's leg.

"Great minds think alike Mr Sainz." Charles smiled at the older man.

"Don't be crazy Charles, call me Carlos."

Mila smiled at her parents softly, she loved them getting along with Charles. She couldn't help but think of how much they attempted to hide their hatred of Alejandro. There was none of the faked liking with Charles though, there was genuine happiness in her mother's eyes.

Carlos rushed into the waiting room after several hours. "It's a girl!"

"Dios mío!" Reyes raised her hands in the air and stood up, running to her son.

Mila and her father followed closely behind her, joining the group hug. Charles stood slightly back from the four, not feeling that he had a place in the group yet.

"Isa she is beautiful." Mila held her niece, "What is she called?"

"Maria." Carlos said, a tear threatening to fall.

"Carlos that is beautiful." His father said, knowing the meaning behind his granddaughter's name.

"Do you need us to bring anything back to your house for you? We have space in my car." Charles asked after a moment of silence.

"Yes Charles that would be really helpful." Isa sighed. Her tiredness showed on her face.

"Perfect, shall Mila and I go then? We can bring home your presents and things that are here."

"Okay, you grab those heavy bags Charles and I will get the leftovers." Mila winked at the man, whose face was less than impressed.

~~~~
"Oh my, this house is amazing." Mila gasped as they approached the large villa. She pressed the beeper on the set of keys Carlos had given her to open the gate and the full splendour of the home was revealed.
Charles drive the car up the long gravel driveway, parking the car in the spot beside Carlos's own. The two got out of the car, marvelling at the house.
"This is such a nice house. I might have to get one of my own." Charles half joked.
"I guess Carlos thought an apartment wasn't enough for a family."
"Yeah, I share the sentiment."
"Really? I hadn't thought about it much."
"I mean, I would want our kid to have a garden to run about in. If he can't be a formula driver a footballer is the next best thing."
Mila laughed at Charles, he had such big aspirations for his future kids.
"You really want those kids huh? To continue the legendary Leclerc legacy." Mila shook her fist in the air, signalling the might of her words.
"Yeah, when are they gonna come?"
"Put a ring on it first Leclerc, I don't want to do things backwards like Carlos and Isa."
"I don't have a ring on me but," Charles took a knee.
"Stand up Charles," Mila laughed slightly. "Love the spontaneity, but hold your horses."
Charles blushed deeply, his face falling as he stood up. "Sorry, I misjudged that."
Mila laughed again, standing closer to her boyfriend. "I never said I would say no Charles." She cupped his face in her hands.
Charles's eyes quickly brightened, "Really?"
"If you plan it slightly more than asking me in my brother's driveway with no ring, then yes. But you know, I would probably say yes here anyway."
"I love you Mila."
"I love you too Charles, but let's get this stuff up to baby's room."
~~~~

The nursery was already perfectly decorated, small waves were painted in white on the light blue walls, the crib in the corner of the room. Charles set down the boxes of presents in another corner.

I don't know why I am so touched by the way the room is decorated, but I feel a connection to it. It reminds me of the way my own bedroom was decorated when I was a child. The perks of having a mother so creatively inclined as my own.

"Charles?" Mila asked the man, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Hm?"

"Do you want to explore?"

"Yes, definitely."

As the two walked through the house, they discovered that it was largely undecorated still, the new family had only moved in less than a month before. However, two bedrooms were obvious, one for Isa, one for Carlos. But one thing struck Mila when she saw "Carlos's" room, it looked untouched. She knew her brother and that was not his style at all. When they reached the room that had been designated for Isa, they noticed a messy side and a clear one. They were staying together.
