Yuta opened his eyes, feeling immediate pain in his hips and thighs. For a moment, he stared at the ceiling, processing the events of the previous night. He caught Toge's natural scent – a light musk that was unique to the silver-haired man. Maybe it was all a little too fast, maybe it was too soon, but Yuta didn't care.
Something about Toge stirred in Yuta. Perhaps it was his beautiful brown eyes or his soft skin. No, Yuta knew in his heart what it was. Toge was kind. He seemed to care about everyone in some way. Most of all, Toge had shown attention to him in a way that Yuta hadn't encountered before.
Toge could have taken advantage of Yuta from the beginning, but he didn't. Instead, the silver-haired man showed himself in a new light. However, only a few people would recall that experience.
The black-haired man turned his head, running one hand through Toge's hair. It was soft, and slightly matted from the night before.
"Hehe," Toge giggled with a squirm.
"I'm so glad you chose me," Yuta said, thinking he was the only one fully awake.
"No one else," Toge said, opening his eyes.
Those were the clearest words Toge had ever said. Everything until that point was made of one or two-word answers, which was satisfying enough. But three words, not skipping a beat, were more than Yuta could take.
"Are you awake, for real?" Yuta asked.
Toge buried his face in the pillow. "Yes."
Yuta jumped on him, kissing Toge's neck. "Okay. Let's get some breakfast. I think we need to talk about our plan."
They had postponed it all night. Toge hadn't revealed too much about his encounter with the engineer, but Yuta couldn't make the excuse that there was a lack of trust between them. At least from the black-haired man's perspective, they were bonded even closer than the previous incarnation of himself that Toge knew. And, of course, Yuta was prepared to tell Toge everything he knew as well.
With a lot of coercing, Toge left the bed. As discussed with Shoko, Yuta would tell Toge anything freely under the assumption that the man was willing to work alongside them. The conversation he had with Shoko was brief; other than a raise and officially accepting Yuta into her Yakuza family, there wasn't too much to mention that Todo hadn't said himself.
Toge sat down on the couch, wearing an oversized shirt and a pair of gym shorts. He too complained of being sore, more so in his behind than his hips. Just thinking about it made Yuta blush. It was a bit of an ego stroke knowing he had that capability.
"What kind of coffee do you want?" Yuta asked, pulling up a local shop on his delivery app.
Toge held out his hand. "Phone."
After what Yuta put Toge through, it was the least he could do to comply. Yuta was given free range to choose any piece of clothing in Toge's closet. To match the silver-haired man, Yuta found a larger shirt and some other gym shorts. For the most part, Toge's clothes fit well, but there were occasions that Yuta's taller stature made his bellybutton pop out from the shirt's lower seam.
Toge handed the phone back, foggy-eyed with a smile. "Lean?"
"Lean?" Yuta repeated.
Toge signed, "On you."
Before Yuta could reply, Toge rested his head against Yuta's chest. That couldn't have been too comfortable. Yuta didn't have a large chest that would have acted like a pillow.
"Soft," Toge snuggled his head into Yuta.
The black-haired man ordered their drinks, then said, "I'm going to tell you something crazy."
