Y/N's POV
As if staking out alone wasn't nerve-wracking enough, the flickering streetlight added an extra layer of dread to the situation. With each erratic pulse of light, my heart pounded in my chest, casting eerie shadows that seemed to dance tauntingly in the darkness.
And there he was again, the black mask guy, his gaze fixed on me like a predator sizing up its prey. I tried to ignore the prickling sensation at the back of my neck, focusing instead on the hope that the police would arrive soon and put an end to this nightmare.
I knew they were busy with their duties, but I couldn't shake the feeling of urgency gnawing at my insides. Every second that passed felt like an eternity, each moment filled with the palpable tension of the unknown.
But then I remembered who I was. I was Y/N—the girl who could conquer anything she set her mind to. If I could face my biggest fear—math—head-on and come out victorious, then surely I could handle this stupid shadow stalker.
Drawing on a newfound sense of determination, I scanned the dimly lit street for any sign of movement, my senses on high alert. And then, I spotted it—a glimmer of light emanating from the corner of an alleyway, the telltale sign of Daphne's car.
With renewed purpose, I squared my shoulders and took a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever might come next. I may have been alone, but I refused to let fear dictate my actions. I was Y/N, and I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
JIMIN's POVAs I watched the honey-eyed girl—aka the shadow stalker—move through the dimly lit street, a sense of triumph surged through me. All those hours spent binge-watching Sherlock Holmes at 3 am were finally paying off. I had her in my sights, and soon she'd be in handcuffs, courtesy of the police.
But as the streetlight flickered ominously overhead, casting eerie shadows across the pavement, a twinge of fear wormed its way into my gut. The girl's furtive glances in my direction only served to amplify my unease, sending shivers down my spine.
I knew I needed backup, someone to bolster my courage and reassure me that I wasn't just imagining things. And who better than Taehyung, my trusty sidekick and partner in crime?
As I dialed Taehyung's number, my heart pounded with a mixture of excitement and dread. I needed him to believe me, to understand the gravity of the situation. But as the phone rang on the other end, I braced myself for the inevitable challenge of convincing him.
"Hello?" Taehyung's voice crackled through the line, heavy with sleep and irritation.
"Taehyung, it's me," I blurted out, my words rushing out in a jumble. "I need you to come to the stakeout right now. I've got the shadow stalker in my sights, and the police are on their way. But I need you here with me, man. I'm freaking out."
There was a long pause on the other end of the line, followed by a loud yawn. "Jimin, it's 3 am," Taehyung groaned, his voice thick with exhaustion. "I was sleeping."
"But this is important!" I insisted, my voice rising with urgency. "I need you to believe me. This is our chance to catch the shadow stalker once and for all."
Another yawn echoed through the phone, followed by the sound of rustling sheets. "Jimin, you're not making any sense," Taehyung mumbled, his irritation palpable even through the phone line. "You've been watching too many crime dramas again."
"But Taehyung, I swear I saw her!" I protested, my frustration mounting. "She's the one, I know it. You have to trust me on this."
There was a skeptical silence on the other end of the line, punctuated only by the sound of Taehyung's deepening yawns. "Look, Jimin, I'll come over," he finally relented, his tone resigned. "But if this turns out to be another one of your wild theories, I'm going back to bed."
I sighed in relief, grateful that Taehyung was at least willing to entertain the possibility of my suspicions. "Thanks, Taehyung," I said, my voice filled with gratitude. "I owe you one."
"Yeah, yeah," he muttered, his voice fading as he hung up the phone.
I'm gonna get you shadow stalker...
