The encounter with Jimin was still fresh in my mind as I navigated the murky waters of my rather adventurous life. It seemed as if no matter how ordinary I wanted my life to be, it turned out to be just unprecedented.
The day started like any other—rushing through my morning routine, grabbing a quick breakfast, and heading to the company for another day of rehearsals and meetings. Little did I know, a surprise awaited me that would change the course of my career.
As I entered the practice room, I noticed an unusual buzz of excitement in the air. Curious, I made my way over to Daphne's office, where she was deep in conversation with BTS's manager, Sejin oppa.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked, unable to contain my curiosity.
Daphne looked up, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Y/N, you're not going to believe this. You've been offered a role in a new kdrama!"
My heart skipped a beat at her words. A role in a kdrama? It was an opportunity I had only dreamed of. "Really? That's amazing!" I exclaimed, struggling to contain my excitement.
Sejin oppa nodded, a proud smile gracing his lips. "Yes, it's a small role, but an important one nonetheless. You'll be playing the childhood best friend of Taehyung's character, Han sung."
I couldn't believe my luck. Starring in a kdrama alongside Taehyung-nim himself—it was like a dream come true. "Thank you so much! I won't let you down," I vowed, determination burning bright in my eyes.
A week later, as we delved into the filming process for the drama, I couldn't help but feel a sense of surrealism wash over me. It was as if I were living out a long-held dream—one that I had tucked away in the deepest corners of my heart, never daring to believe that it could come true. For as long as I could remember, I had yearned to step into the spotlight, to become an actress or perhaps even a stand-up comedian.
But growing up in a conservative family, such aspirations were dismissed as fanciful notions, unrealistic and unattainable. Yet here I was, defying the odds and chasing my dreams with unwavering determination. It was a feeling akin to Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon—a breathtaking moment of triumph, tinged with disbelief and awe at the magnitude of what I had achieved.
The first day on set was a whirlwind of excitement and nerves. As I stepped onto the familiar surroundings of the Hwarang set, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the grandeur of it all.
Taehyung-nim greeted me with his trademark boxy grin, instantly putting me at ease. "Y/N, or should I say shadow stalker?" he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
I couldn't help but laugh at his playful jab. "Taehyung-nim, please don't remind me... it's embarrassing," I chuckled, shaking my head at the memory of our previous encounter...where I was a renowned criminal in his eyes for a brief moment.
He flashed me a sheepish smile, continuing to tease me. "But on a serious note, I never really got to thank you for saving me from the shadow stalker."
I playfully jabbed back, going along with his little skit. "Your welcome. Saving you almost costed me a concussion, you know," I joked, unable to resist poking fun at the absurdity of the situation.
"Sorry about that," he apologized, his smile widening into a grin as he offered me a playful elbow nudge.
As we fell into an easy rhythm on set, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected friendship that had blossomed between us.
And as we delved into our roles as childhood friends on screen, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement building within me. This was just the beginning of a new chapter in my career, and I was determined to make the most of every moment.
