PRIEST

FADE IN:

EXT. MIDDAY. GRAVEYARD.

As scene fades in camera zooms out slowly from a black casket.

Camera continues to zoom out bringing into focus the Graveyard.

A PRIEST is orating before the casket.

Elin and Becca are concealed beneath thick raincoats. Their backs are to the camera so it is impossible to recognize either of them.

Camera continues to zoom outwards and upwards moving quickly away from the Graveyard to fly over Cardiff.

As the camera flies the sun moves repeatedly from right to left to show time moving backwards several days.

Camera slows and sinks to ground level before a common Cardiff home.

MARC stumbles from his car to the front door and enters.

INT. AFTERNOON. CARDIFF HOME KITCHEN.

The kitchen is a mess. Pots, pans and dirty plates litter the sideboards. Elin is perched precariously on the counter, trying to reach a tin of biscuits. Marc enters and Elin jumps, almost toppling from the counter.

MARC

Elin what are you doing? You'll hurt yourself.

Marc lifts Elin down from the counter and checks her over for injuries.

ELIN

But I'm hungry Daddy?

Marc grabs an apple, dusts it on his shirt and gives it to Elin.

MARC

Here eat this. It's better for you. Where's your mother?

ELIN

Upstairs, she's not well, I think.

MARC

(Shouting) Becca?

Marc lifts a few mucky plates from the sink, shakes his head and drops them back in.

BECCA

(Shouting from off-screen) What?

Marc stomps out of the kitchen and climbs the stairs to the bedroom, the camera follows. He stops in the doorway. The bedroom is also a mess. Piles of clothes litter the floor. The curtains are closed and the room is dark. Becca is lying in bed.

MARC

What's going on?

BECCA

What do you mean, can't you see I'm sick?

Becca coughs and blows her nose
