Satoshi: Kurokawa, get the first-aid kit!
Kurokawa: Roger!

Satoshi: ... Kurata
Kurata: Sir?
Satoshi: Back up, the survivor isn't human. She's an elf.

Hearing this, everyone began to gather around the unconscious elf, surprised that they finally encountered something that is of a different species and isn't a hostile one

Kurata: Sir, can I?
Satoshi: Negative, I don't want your perverted ass near her.
Tomita: Agreed. The lieutenant may be a weeb, but he knows when to tone it down.

Kurokawa grabs the kit and is relieved as she checks the elf's vitals

Kurokawa: She isn't severely injured... but these clothes are wet. These go.
Kuribayashi: Sorry, but the clothes gotta go.

They wrap her in whatever cloth they have and bring her back to Coda village. There, they explained the situation to the village chief

Chief: A flame dragon?!
Satoshi: Uh... flame dragon decimated everything. All dead, except for her.
Chief: Everyone, pack your things. We are running away!
Satoshi: You leave the village?
Chief: Yes, once a flame dragon gets a taste of flesh, they'll go on a killing spree until they go back to hibernate. And we can't take the elf in...

With a frown, Satoshi sits with some of his men as they wait for the villagers to finish packing up so they can evacuate them to somewhere safe

Kurata: You're getting the hang of their language, Lieutenant.
Satoshi: Yeah...
Kurokawa: It may come as uncanny from me. But when you ordered Kurata to stay away from the elf, we felt some sort of... feeling from you, almost... fatherly, so to say.
Satoshi: What are you saying?
Kuribayashi: I'll be blunt here. You got some sort of fatherly instincts in there.
Satoshi: ... Do you all see me as a father figure?

They all shook their heads as the villagers got ready to leave

Far out in the outskirts of the village
