"I see you have the easy way."
Changeling turned around to see none other than Raven. She came and sat down next to him.
"Indeed I do." He said looking out at the now fully set sun.
"I wish it were easy for me." She sighed, and gazed at the beautiful scene in front of her.
"It can be." Changeling stated now looking at her.
"Easy for you to say." She sighed again as she kept her gaze on the sky. There was something that was nagged at her though, and she needed to let it out, but not too soon. She'll wait.
"Hey, don't down yourself." He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "It might be easy, all you have to do is try."
"I've tried, believe me I did. This isn't any regular beast, Changeling."
"This is a monster."
"So is mine. Mine can be a bastard at times, but, it really just wants to be expressed."
"I just can't let her out, if that's what you're thinking." She retorted. "She's a killer, Changeling. She has no feelings."
"Hey, you can't say that. Have you truly took the time to sit down and have a decent conversation with her?"
Raven shot daggers at him. "What the hell do you know?! Demons don't feel, they kill. That's their only purpose!"
"And here you are."
Raven gawked at his last statement. He was right. Here she was, half demon, if she really were evil, she would've been dead. Everyone would've been dead. If she would've really given up on saving the world, then she really would be evil. But she didn't.
"You can choose your own destiny, remember?" He said in all seriousness. "And so can she."
Raven looked at him in shock. Where is he learning this stuff from? How does he know it? Why does he know it?
"Raven, it may be a little hectic, but you can make it through. That's all life's about, challenges."
"But Changeling-"
He put a finger on her mouth to shush her. He didn't want to hear anymore nonchalant excuses.
"Give it a chance. Give her a chance." He removed his finger. "After all, she is half of you. She needs guidance, and a sense of purpose."
Raven was reconsidering her options. His arguments were clearly valid, but highly dangerous.
"She is confused, Raven." He stated, caressing her cheek with his thumb. "And when you first let her out, she'll be unbelievably confused and outrageous, but that's because she is only starting to get a new feel on things. That is why you need to let her out."
Raven leant her head in his hand, and closed her eyes. She was clearly thinking of the pros and cons, and thought of her designate answer. After all, she DID defeat her father, so she could also believe this was as well.
She reopened her eyes to see a smiling Changeling. She smiled back because of the generosity and care he still holds for her.
'No, not yet.'
"I want you to- no, I need you to help me." She stated, taking his hand in hers and interlocking them. "I need you to help me feel like a real person. I need you to help me feel whole. To find me."
"I'd be more than happy to." He said kissing her hand gently. "But I can only help you so much." He gazed into her eyes.
"I know." She scooted closer. "Like you said I just need guidance."
Raven leaned in slowly, anticipating for his lips. She found him not leaning in, and she knew why. That didn't stop her though. Her lips brushed his softly, but for a yearning. Her lips continued to softly dance across his, and still found that he wasn't giving back. That didn't stop her, she wanted this, she waited for this and when she found him kissing back, fuel found its way into her already burning fire.
The passionate kiss lasted for about a minute or two, and found thereselves gasping for air. They leaned onto the others forehead, and slowly lifted there eyelids to see the eyes they yearned for what seemed decades.
They smiled and chuckled when their eyes had met at the moment that had just been shared.
"So, does this mean you like me, too?" Changeling asked breaking the once beautiful silence.
"No." She shook her head against his. "It means I love you." She said with all honesty.
"Congratulations you two."
The two quickly whipped around to the disembodied voice. They saw none other than boy wonder himself. He was smiling big, and clapping like an idiot.
Changeling cringed a little inside, knowing what was bound to happen next.
"Robin, can I call in a session as of now? Someone's been patiently waiting for an arrival, and I don't think he can wait any longer." Changeling turned his attention to Raven.
She knew who he was referring to, and knew some crazy times were coming their way.
"Absolutely. Shall we head there now? I'm assuming you're struggling against his wrath, huh?" Robin chuckled.
"You could say that again." And they all shared a laugh.
