"Why am I getting the feeling that something unusual happened?" Raven muttered to herself as she once again stepped in her room from getting a cup of tea. She took one sip of her chamomile tea, and instantly did a spit-take.
...FLASHBACK...
The light had broadcasted her eyes as she became conscious again. Questioning herself as to why she had her curtains open in the first place, wasn't the matter. She always woke up before the sun did, why all of the sudden did she wake up late? Thoughts of last night came to her head as she got up to start her daily routine.
"Odd." She muttered to herself as she reached to feel her chakra. While evaluating her chakra, it gleamed white, and this comfortable feeling overwhelmed her. As soon as she subdued her hand from her chakra, it went away. Deciding that it was not something to worry about, she shrugged it off.
As she entered the common room, kind greets for the morning were exchanged.
"Ven."
"What?"
"Raven, its Raven Beast Boy! Not Rae, nor Rae Rae, it always and will be Raven!" She snapped turning around, dismissing her unfinished tea.
"Sorry." He apologized sincerely. Though, there was a hint of agitation in his voice. As this was done, he stiffened up and let a cooling breath escape his mouth. Finished, he returned to what he was attending to at first.
This caught Robins attention, and he knew what time it was. He told them just last night that suppressing emotions wasn't the best idea, and yet green bean is doing just the opposite.
"No, it's fine. I am in the wrong here, I've snapped at you, and it could've been a better way to handle it. Therefore, I'm sorry." Raven let out a sigh. She wasn't looking at his face, as she was looking at the floor.
"Hey, it's okay." He said lifting her head with one finger.
"It was my fault for mistreating your real name." He gave her that signature smirk, that was actually quite the charmer.
"Friends?" Raven smirked mimicking her green friend. She felt a tingle in her cheeks, and butterflies in her stomach. Knowing what will happen next, she was trying to suppress some emotions threatening to come.
"Always." He chuckled. Once again they were in an embrace. This time, he felt the same tingly feeling she was feeling. And just as much as she was holding in, so was he. He could imagine all the things he wanted to do at this given moment, but he decided to pass.
Robin smiled at the two finally expressing more of what's left in the inside. Before Cyborg decided to make his way to the kitchen, Robin stopped him. Cyborg was always known for ruining moments, and this was too precious to be ruined.
"My tea needs to be made before it is cold." As much as she didn't want to let go, she did. She tensed up a little when she noticed her teammates getting a good look on her. As she finished the embrace, she put one packet of sugar in her tea and left. The tension was just too much for her.
BACK TO REALITY...
"Holy sh-"
Just before she could finish her little outbreak, she heard a knock on her door. She only cracked it open a little to find Robin staring back at her. He had a mischievous smirk on his face, and crossed his arms.
"Hello Raven, that was quite a scene back there." Robin teased as he seen the discomfort appear on her face. He liked getting on Ravens weak side. It made him look more of the dominant side. Well, since raven here likes to question that sometimes.
"And? Your point is?" She asked now fully opening the door and leaning on one hip. She was starting to question what plans happen to be in his devious head.
"Oh, just saying. I mean, it looks as if you got this under control. I was meaning to ask for another session, but, looks as if you don't need one right now." He put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm proud of you." Robin said smiling.
"Robin, I will kill you if you don't take your hand off of my shoulder right now." She snarled. She was feeling mistreated by the way his actions were. She felt as if he was Alpha and she was beta. She never likes to be dominated, and always goes in denial.
"Nice talking to you too." Robin laughed sarcastically. With that, he left and continued down the corridor to the main ops room. He encountered Beast Boy on the way there, going the opposite way. "Hey Beast Boy, can I have a second?" Robin asked grasping his shoulder.
"Sure! But make it quick, I need to see if my new uniform arrived." Beast Boy said turning around to face his almighty leader. He was questioning if he was in trouble, yeah, he might've pulled that prank on Robin last week, but he should be over that. Or maybe-
"Are you even listening Beast Boy?" Robin scowled.
"Oh, uh, no." He scratched the back of his neck nervously. "What did ya say?" He asked perking up his pointed ears to show he was listening this time.
"I wanted to congratulate you for having a decent conversation with Raven, but honestly, it seemed as if you were holding something back. What was it?" Robin asked.
"Oh, uh, nothing." Beast Boy blushed thinking about moments ago when Raven and him hugging. Beast Boy wasn't good at expressing his emotions to a almighty intimidator like Robin himself.
"Alright, spill Beast Boy. If you don't, this calls for another session tonight. And to think, I thought y'all were doing pretty good." Robin demanded crossing his arms. He could see right through Beast Boy, it was obvious he was hiding something, you could see it all over his face.
Just then, the doorbell rang for the Titans tower. Beast Boy took this as an excuse to not give Robin a proper answer. Beast Boy smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck, and proceeded down the hall to the elevator.
"Um, I'll have to talk to you later, I, uh, gotta go get the door." Beast Boy laughed. "Oh, and can I call a meeting for this afternoon?" Beast Boy asked now looking serious.
"Sure, I'll rally up the titans. Go ahead Beast Boy." Robin shooed him away, as he walked the opposite direction to the ops room. He wondered what Beast Boy was hiding. He seemed suspicious. Hugging Raven, hiding emotions, new uniform, and higher levels of maturity. Its all signs of his little brother growing up. As he thought he he sighed and put a smile on his face. "Titans, we have a meeting."
