The next morning I meet Amelia downstairs during breakfast.

"So, did you have any fun at Mike's yesterday?" I ask her, trying to hint that I want more info on the girl from two days ago.

She looks around the kitchen, knowing full well no one other than me and her are in there, "The girl is still there, her name is Eleven" she reports to me. I raise my eyebrow.

"Her name is Eleven? Whatever, why is she still there though? I thought Mike agreed to tell his mom about her, or something, I was only half listening" I ask her.

"Well El for short but basically" she lowers her voice, "There are bad men after her so he couldn't tell his mom about El", "Bad men?" I question her. "Yeah, she has superpowers" she whispers.

"What?!"  I loudly say.

"Yep. She closed the door with her mind" and with that she walks off, leaving me speechless.

Amelia's POV :

"We just tell our parents we have AV Club after school. That'll give us at least a few hours for Operation Mirkwood" Mike operates the plan.

Lucas looks at El, "You seriously think that the weirdo know where Will is? He asks. "Just trust me on this, okay?", "Okay".

"Did you guys get the supplies?"
"Yeah" we all say.

Lucas goes first, bringing binoculars, an army knife... questionable. Hammer, camouflage bandana and his infamous wrist rocket.

"You're gonna take out the demogorgon with a slingshot?" Dustin asks Lucas unimpressed. "First of all, it's a wrist rocket. And second of all, the demogorgon's not real. It's made up. But if there is something out there, I'm gonna shoot in the eye...and blind it" Lucas argues with Dustin, and pretends to shoot the wrist rocket at him.

They look at me, "Oh, I brought some goggles, a first aid kit and a tennis racket" I say. "Well it's better than nothing" Mike says, "Dustin what'd you bring?"

Dustin grabs his bag and dumps all of his things on the table. "Well, alrighty. So we've got... Nutty Bars, Bazooka, Pez, Smarties, Pringles, Nilla Wafers, apple, banana, and trail mix" I shake my head at him, and stare at him in disappointment.

"Seriously?"

"We need energy for our travels. For stamina. And beside why do we need weapons anyway? We have her" he points to El. "She shut one door!" Lucas, once again argues with Dustin. "With her mind! Are you kidding me? That's insane!imagine all the other cool stuff she could do. Like..." He walks over and grabs the Star Wars spaceship, "I bet... that she could make this fly!"

"Hey. Hey. Okay, concentrate. Okay?" But all it does is fall into the ground. He tries again but it falls on the ground again.

Mike goes over and take the spaceship, "She's not a dog!".

"Boys, Amelia. Time for school!" we hear Mrs. Wheeler call.

We quickly pack and go upstairs.

Abigail's POV :

At lunch me and Nancy walk ovee to the table Steve is sitting at.

I sit down, listening to Carol and Tommy and Steve argue about frostbite.

"Hey, Tommy. When you left, did you see Barb?" Nancy asks Tommy.

"What?"

"Barbra. She's not here today"
