The magazine show was filled with the enormous news about what happened at the grand royal opera house. They were complimenting me but at the same time, they were talking about the shameful act my mother had done.

"They know nothing about the art of being a ballerina. Why don't they just shut their mouth and mind their own business." My mother's voice echoing in every walls of the mansion.

She never cared about how I feel from what she had done. Papa tried to calm down, trying his best not to argue with my mom.

"You're putting a lot of pressure to my daughter." Singhal ni papa. " You should've just treat her like other mother does with her children. "

"She's also my daughter, Darcy. You have no  right to tell me what to do with her." She replied.

"You're selfish. Insensitive." Mariin na sabi ni papa.

"I ain't selfish. I'm doing this for her to be the most----"

"You want the best for her but in order to do that you have to put her in such a manner of discomfort."

"I would've been treating her in a good manner if my daughter, Lourese is still alive-! " My mother's voice crack, probably because she's about to cry.

"Don't you dare put a blame on her!"  My father scowled very loud. " I'm taking her away from you."

" You cannot take her away from me! I am her mother!" My mother shouts but father ignores it. I heard my father footsteps receding. He was about to get closer so I ended up running away towards my bedroom.

I sat on my bed acting like I did not heard anything. I knew that my father was coming so I act innocently in front of him as he finally entered after a few knocks.

"Via." He smiled at me as he sat beside me before he held my hand. "Pack your things. It would be very lovely if you'd rather meet your cousins for a little vacation, my dear." He said with such gentle soothing voice.

I couldn't utter any words. I just smiled, trying my best to stop the urge to cry myself out. Hearing those words from my own mother is causing me so much pain.

I packed some of my clothes inside of my luggage.

Father asked Tito Reign, his second brother, for permission to let me stay in their house for a couple of weeks, after non, sabay na kami ni pinsan na pupunta ng pinas dahil doon magaganap ang family reunion ng Laurier family.

I take a look at the Eiffel tower while we are on our way to the airport. Just wanted to take a short glance, siguradong mami-miss ko eh.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome onboard with service from France to Barcelona Spain. We are ready to take off, we ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Smoking is prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for choosing Mountain Airlines. Enjoy your flight."

As I finally heard the preflight announcement, I let out a deep sigh. Wow, I cannot believe this. Mukhang makaka hinga na ako ng maluwag now that my mother's not around, I wouldn't waste every piece of opportunities I have now.

In the middle of the flight, I fell asleep. Malapit lang ang Paris France sa Barcelona that's why we only had a flight for almost 2 hours.

"Bienvenido a España!"

Our mansion's way more bigger than theirs but it looks welcoming.

I heard that Tito Reign's wife, especially my cousin, Peony, who's actually their daughter loves painting, there's no denying that every paintings that are hanged on their walls looks very fascinating.

Just like before, she's still calm.

She mumble as she hugged me tight.

"Ouais, ça fait un moment." Sagot ko naman. My father and Tito let us go for a walk around their home.

"I heard the rumors about what happened at the opera house." Paninimula ni Peony habang kami ay naglilibot.

"Wow, ang bilis naman kumalat." Sagot ko.

"Eh, masyadong kilala ang mama mo eh." She replied while trying to stifle her laugh.

"Malas ko nga." I let out an awkward laugh.

"Hmm? Malas? Paano mo naman nasabi? You're gifted you know, I mean, you're an excellent ballerina. Ang galing galing mong sunayaw!" She exclaimed as she clasps her hands together with her eyes sparkling as if she was dazed.

"I mean, malas sa mama?" Paglilinaw ko.

"Well, mothers are mothers. They know what's best daw eh. But, that best was somehow suffocating you. Wasn't it?" She talks like she really know how I felt. She never change. Just as like as before, she's kind and understanding yet she's still filled with sadness because of what happened to her grandma.

Pain can really change you.
