Chapter 19 - i promise

Nathan turns on the shower and pulls youssef  in with him . They kiss lightly under the warm water for a few minutes pulling themselves closer together .
Youssef pulls back and puts his hands on Nathan's face and smiles softly .
" I love you " he says
" I love you too "
Nathan turns his head slightly and glances at yousseffs wrist . Only to see it scattered with white and red lines that stand out on his beautiful skin . Some old but some very new .
" baby , what are these " he asks calmly while bringing his hand up and grazing over them softly making sure not to hurt him  .
" oh . Uhmmm . Err " he pulled his arm down and awkwardly put it at his side .
Nathan could see the panic on his boyfriend's face and it was almost impossible to see with the water in the shower , but yousseff had  began crying . " I'm sorry "
" baby it's okay . Its okay "
Nathan pulled him in for a tight,  loving hug . A few minutes later Nathan began washing yousseffs hair softly and washed his body being careful not to get any soap into the cuts . Yousseff looked embarrassed and scared . Something Nathan hadn't ever seen before Wich made him even more worried .
Nathan was surprised he hadn't ever noticed them before . They had had sex a lot and slept in the same bed almost every night for the last few months . How did he miss it .

After about 10 minutes they were out of the shower and had put on some boxers and a t shirt . Both of them had been quite silent since but Nathan tried his best to comfort him .
Yousseff was sat on the bed while he grabbed the first aid kit and after a bit of rummaging around he found it and sat back down next to him . Carefully picked up yousseffs wrist and Brought  it to his lips and kissed every scar and cut lightly . then wrapped them up in some soft bandages to stop them from getting infected .
" yousseff?"
" yeah " he replied quietly
" is this why you cared about Charlie so much ?"
Youssef sniffled and his eyes began to water as he nodded
" oh baby "
Nathan hugged him Again and buried his head into his shoulder . " I'm just so sorry that I didn't notice or you felt like you couldn't tell me "
They snuggled together for ages , giving light , loving kisses every so often . Until Nathan ordered a Chinese takeaway for the two .
