Bunny's heat was over. It was the day after it ended and they had to report back to the Pole to check in with North to make sure everything was alright.

"Do you want to fly back or take a tunnel?" Bunny asked and Jack looked up at him from where he leaned on the tree.

"Do we have to go back today?" Jack asked, as he came up to Bunny and placed a hand on his chest.

"Yes, it's my first heat as a human. I want to make sure everything is OK," Bunny said, and Jack nodded with a small frown on his lips.

He knew once they head back, everything will go back to being as it was before. He would have to go back to putting up with Tooth flirting with him, and pretending to hate Bunny.

"Let's take a tunnel," Jack said and Bunny nodded before tapping his foot, they raced through the tunnel and laughed as they went. Jack was the first one to pop out into North's office.

"I have returned with the Kangaroo," Jack said as he popped into the air, and Bunny popped up, rolling his eyes.

"Ah, Bunny, I see you two survived," North said, placing his hand on his belly and laughing.

"Hi, Jack," Tooth said as she floated over to the winter guardian and lightly touched his arm.

Jack flinched and moved away from the fairy. "Hey, Tooth," He said as his eyes wandered over to Bunny, who was talking to North.

"How was your week with Bunny?" She asked. Jack hummed as she hovered closer to him.

"It was good, better than I expected it to go," he said, with a sigh.

He moved away from Tooth again but this time he floated out of the room. He made his way out the window and flew up to the roof of the workshop.

Bunny finished talking to North, looked over to where Jack was supposed to be, and frowned when he didn't see him.

"I found the spell Pitch used on you," North said, drawing his attention back to the jolly man, "It can be reversed, it will take a while to prepare, but I will have it ready at least two days before Easter," North said and Bunny frowned.

"Easter is a month away," Bunny said, and North nodded.

"I need to gather some things for the spell to work. There are a few that can turn you back, so I don't want to mix them up and turn you into a weird hybrid," North said. Bunny nodded thoughtfully.

"Right," he said as he looked towards the open window, knowing where Jack might have gone. "I appreciate it," He said, as he turned and headed toward the door. He made his way toward the floor he shared with Jack.

He made his way over to the door and knocked, when he didn't get any answers he opened the door and walked in.

He searched the apartment but didn't see the small sprite. He frowned; where did Jack go? Was he avoiding him?

Bunny felt his chest ache at the thought. He decided to wait for a few minutes to see if Jack would come to his room.

After waiting for thirty minutes, he knew he was right. Jack was avoiding him. He tapped his foot, and a hole opened up under him, and he hopped in.
