It was three days before Easter. Bunny and Jack were heading to the pole, and Jack had been staying with Bunny ever since he told him he was pregnant. Jack's stomach was a little bump now, and Bunny loved petting it.
They hopped out of the hole in Jack's apartment. "Do you want to stay here while I go down?" Bunny asked Jack, who shook his head.
They slowly made their way down the stairs. They made their way to the office and entered. As soon as they entered, Tooth flew over to them and started fawning over Jack.
Bunny did not like that the fairy was all over his mate. He pulled him away from her and placed himself between them. Tooth glared at the man before North spoke.
"Bunny," He said, drawing his attention to them, "I have gathered the objects needed to change your back to your original furry self," North said, and Bunny felt Jack tense beside him.
"I- uh, yeah," Bunny stuttered, "That's good,"
"Change back?" Jack asked, and Bunny could feel him looking at him.
"Yes, did Bunny not tell you? I have been gathering the things needed to change him back." North informed the small pregnant male, who glared at the blue-haired man.
"No, he did not," Jack hissed.
"I thought we were just here for his check-up," Bunny said, his teeth clenched.
North looked between them before nodding and leading them both to the medical room.
North has Jack lie down on the table and raise his shirt. He squeezed the jelly on top of his stomach and used the wand. "There you are," North said, "Two beautiful babies. As I said before, you are developing faster, and bunny pregnancies are shorter than 45 days. So you will develop faster as well. By estimation, you would be two months along if it was a nine-month pregnancy." North informed them, and the two soon-to-be parents nodded.
North handed Jack a paper towel to wipe off the hell and left the room. "Jack..." Bunny began, but Jack cut him off.
"When were you going to tell me?" The white-haired male asked.
"I really was planning to tell you, Jack, but I just forgot. With the eggs getting ready for the mainland in three days and the babies...wait, Twins. He said two babies, Oh fuck." Bunny gasped out, and Jack just stared at him.
"You're just picking that up?" He asked, and Bunny huffed.
Jack climbed off the table, shoving off Bunny's hand when he offered it. "I'm going to my room, I need a nap," Jack said, exiting the main room with Bunny behind him.
The two larger males watched Jack exit the office before Bunny turned to North. "I need you to do something for me." He said.
Jack exited the office and floated his way up the stairs and into his apartment. He entered and slammed the door behind him furiously wiping away tears.
He made his way to his bedroom and closed all the windows. He might have been the winter sprite, but every now and then, he loved to feel a little warmth.
He climbed into his bed and curled up under his blankets, being careful of his belly.
A few minutes later, the door opened, and Bunny entered. He made his way to the bedroom and leaned on the doorpost, looking at how delicate Jack looked in the large bed.
He moved forward, sitting at the edge of the bed and running a hand through the other's hair. "I forgot," Jack whispered, "I forgot you're not human like the restore us," Jack said, and Bunny frowned.
"Would you want me any less if I wasn't human?" The blue-haired male asked. Jack moved his hand up and gripped his.
"This wouldn't have happened if you weren't human" Jack answered, "I know you miss it, you're still the same, speed, height, strength. Just without the fluff." He said, turning onto his back.
"Do you not want me to turn back?" Bunny asked, and Jack sighed, sitting up and straddling the large male.
"I can't answer that." He said, "I will be with you in whichever form you choose, human or an oversized Kangaroo," he said, and Bunny shot him a playful glare.
"I love you, Jack." Bunny said, and Jack gasped, "I know it's only been like a little over a month, but that's how I feel; you're my mate." He finished, wiping away a tear that was running down Jack's cheek.
"I love you too, Kangaroo," Jack sniffed.
