Naira woke up to a throbbing pain in her head. She barely had managed to stretch her arms when that throbbing sensation as if hundred hammers were being hammered on her head crossed her body. She didn't know why her head was aching so badly and neither did she understand the reason for the extra comfyness of her bed. All she could feel was that she was a bit higher than she normally is on her bed and the mattresses were probably stuffed with dove feathers. The fabric upon her that she assumed must've been a duvet was surely not hers for she had a single blanket in her room and that wasn't this soft and comfortable. Opening her eyes slightly she espied quasi gloom which gradually faded away once she managed to open her eyes fully. Her eyebrows furrowed as she saw her unfamiliar surroundings. She was in a room that was rather huge and uniquely beautiful. The ceiling of the room was very high and an elegant candle chandelier hung proudly from the ceiling. The soft lighting of the halogen lamps washed the room in subtle yellow. Looking down she found herself in her night clothes and on a round bed which had pink bed linen and duvet. Weirdly the room was cute and it looked like it was prepared in a hurry for the paint on the walls curiously didn't blended with the girly aesthetic of the room. However the bigger question was, Where was she???? And an even bigger one, How did she get here??? She tried to recall anything from last night and the more she racked her brain the more her headache worsened. The headache was from migraine combined with a weak eyesight. Her father scolded her from time to time to get her eyes tested but she kept delaying it. Still she tried to put the fragmented pieces of her memory together from last night. She was certain she had slept on her own bed.
All of a sudden she heard the click of the door on her left. Her heartbeat soared as she feared who it might be. Tears brimmed in her eyes when she realised that it was her kidnapper who was behind the door. She hugged her knees tightly and shivered, looking fearfully at the door. The door opened smoothly without making any slightest bit of noise, one more reason to keep your door hinges oiled up. She expected a bald guy with tattoos all over his face and neck but instead she saw a middle aged woman walking inside wearing a knee length skirt and a cream cardigan covering her upper body. Her hairs were up in a bun and she was dark in complexion. A small cross hung down from the chain around her neck. At first she didn't look at Naira and went straight towards the window but then something struck her and she turned back.
"Oh Lord you're up. I thought you were still asleep." she gasped startled at her little figure crouching in one corner on the bed. The lady gave her a motherly smile as she pulled the blinds away revealing big and high windows through which thick stream of sunlight landed into the room.
"Oh dear you must be really hungry I am sure. I'll inform the cook to make you a breakfast. Until then I better tell boss you're up." she spoke politely as she again walked up to the door.
"But-But where am I??" asked Naira anxiously. The lady gave her a sympathetic look but said nothing and left after closing the door softly shut.Naira started crying once she left. She was in a foreign place and she missed her family so much already. Why was she being held captive here??? What has she done?? She could only wonder. A minute past by and she heard footsteps nearing her room. Sweat beads formed on her forehead as she prepared herself to see who was coming in this time. That lady seemed nice but not everybody else is. What if they beat her??? She cried harder. Nobody had ever raised their hand on her. She never knew how much pain a slap causes you but she was terrified for sure. Suddenly the door burst open and incame a somewhat familiar face. The same face she had encountered quite a few times now.
"Good morning my dear!!!" he said brightly, his lips pulled up in a wide grin. Naira could only gape at him in fear. A thick lump formed in her throat as she saw him coming towards her.
"I thought you were still asleep. I was so scared you know." he whispered taking a seat right beside her on a vacant chair which probably was here for this very purpose. He looked into her scared eyes and continued.
"I was scared that probably I've given you a strong dose of chloroform. But that wasn't the case yet my heart was literally in my mouth all this while. I just wanted you to be fine." he told her sincerely. Naira cared less of what he said.
"Why I am here??? Where are my parents???" she asked innocently, tears streaming down her cheeks. Immediately he cupped her face in his hands and wiped away few tears. She was startled by his audacity, I mean you don't touch a girl without their permission. But then he didn't ask her permission when he sedated her and carried her here outside of her knowledge.
"Shhh!!! Relax I am not going to hurt you. Trust me please." he whispered ardently. Naira wasn't placated still.
"Why have you brought me here??? I thought you were a good man since you helped me twice." she bawled her heart out to him. Narasimha really wished to place kisses all over her face and woo her but situation wasn't exactly conducive to that. He withdrew his big hands from her face and stood up. He looked upset and even disappointed. Naira looked up at him innocently.
"Naira I am not a very good man specially if you look at my business and judge me on that basis. But trust me Naira I never wanted to hurt you, I didn't even know it was you.....Huh!!!! I have got to tell you everything. Hmmphhh!!! Your father has seized my trucks at the border and he wouldn't let them go.....those trucks are important to me Naira. Very important. I never knew that you were his daughter and I....I asked my men to-to abduct his daughter so we can force him to leave our trucks. But....But my world shook when I found out that it was you. Believe me Naira I never wanted to cause you so much pain. Believe me please." he said, his eyes soft and filled with kindness. Naira was easily deceived by those eyes. And was there ever a fraction of doubt that he wasn't lying. Inwardly he was smirking. He had her in his trap.
"But but now you know right. So please let me go." she pleaded with tears. Narasimha felt bad when he caught her crying. He was his heart and soul, he couldn't see her crying unless it was on his bed.
"I am sorry Naira but had it been just for me I would've let you go but the trucks contain materials that belong to other people too and if I let you go then they will hold you captive and you have no idea what they'll do with you." he told her darkly. Naira was frightened. She cannot even imagine what worse can these people do to her. And even if she knows this man like a little, at least he wasn't that bad. Poor Naira had no idea at all. There were never other people in his business, just him alone. She sniffled.
"When can I go home??" she asked innocently. Her pretty little innocent eyes turned him on. His hands fisted tightly as he tried swallowing down his libido. He recalled bringing her here last night in his arms. And he had touched her last night, not like in a sexual way like sliding his fingers into her vagina or playing with her soft, bouncy breasts, but he had touched her feet, her arms and how soft they felt against his big calloused hands. Luck was on his side last night since he saw the strap of her bra peeking from underneath her shirt. She was beautiful. The most beautiful girl on this earth. And she was made for him. Just for him. Although a monster he still knew that he wasn't allowed to touch her in places especially when she was asleep. And therefore reluctantly he had to leave, however he had to masturbate like a monster just to keep himself from pouncing on his sweet little sleeping beauty. He cupped her face again and spoke softly.
"When your father agrees to free my trucks and hand me a few lakh bucks." he told her and stood up, straightening his blazer. Naira's eyes widened.
"Please don't do this.....my father is not so rich....from where will he bring all this money..." she cried thinking about his father. He turned towards her and this time he knelt down beside her. His fingers tucked wisps of her hairs behind her ear which she didn't mind for she was thinking about her father.
"Naira just look at yourself. You're a treasure. Your father will give anything for you. And why just your father...." he leaned closer, so much that his nose was touching her hairs.
"I would give up my everything for this treasure." he muttered, his eyes dark and psychotic. Naira heard him less for she was worried about her family but had she did, definitely she would've seen the obsession lurking in his dark enigmatic eyes.Nilima and Neil were sitting inside the police station with Superintendent Murugan.
"We'll find your sister soon. Don't worry." Murugan was clearly lying. His brother-in-law had followed the long lost tradition in their clan i.e. to abduct the woman you desire and marry her. Seems a bit offensive and unlawful now but up until early 19th century a handful of men in their clan were practising this shit. Honestly this is just an excuse for men who love to force themselves on their women. Otherwise mostly men in his clan married lawfully.
"What about the man in the hotel..?"
"His name is Arun Thakur, and we've checked into his house and have even cross checked where he was last night, he hasn't done that. It's a wholly different person." Superintendent Murugan interposed. Neil nodded, tears blurring his vision. Nilima smelled a rat.
"But I know who is it officer." she whispered darkly taking Murugan by surprise. Murugan was more concerned about her, I mean if she starts pissing off his brother-in-law, she's dead.In the night, Naira was asked to follow the woman to God knows where. She was kind to her, everybody was kind to her here for some reason. The man who was her former protector now abductor, whose name she still didn't know, was kind enough to have kept everything ready for her like clothes, feminine products, even chocolates and snacks in the stash in her room. She was fed well here. She ate a good breakfast consisting of sandwiches, pancakes, croissant for some sweetness and a glass of orange juice. In the lunch she had sambhar, rice, curd, paneer, salad and laddoo for dessert. In evening she was provided samosas, jasmine tea, chips and weirdly she had a television in her room and she spend her day watching movies for Netflix and Amazon prime was free here. I mean the man was paying for it but still. Besides hey, he looked rich, Netflix and prime membership wasn't such a big deal for him. And speaking of the man, she saw nothing of him for the whole day. He wasn't in the house probably. Though in the evening she heard the sound of tyres rolling into the garage at the back of the house. Maybe it was him maybe not, who cares. The woman led her to a door that was situated downstairs and she first knocked on it then turned the doorknob.
"Please go in." she told her and walked away. Naira nervously held the door knob and twisted it. The door made a feeble sound before it swung open.
"May I come in!!!" she asked adorably like a child asks for permission to enter the classroom. She saw him turn around towards her.
"You don't have to ask little one, please come in." he told her sweetly. Naira entered nervously into the dining room. She looked down at her fuzzy sleepers as she was too scared to look up at him.
"Well I thought it would be nice to have you around for dinner with me. I had a hectic day you know. But I would love to know what my little princess did all day." he said lovingly as he pulled out a chair for her. She sat down nervously. Why was he giving her nicknames??? That was odd. But who was she to complain. I mean at least he was being polite to her, she feared to anger him you know....who knows he starts acting like a legit kidnapper if she does that.
"I watched tv and ate. That's it." she replied softly as she found him serving her food. She was already so full since she had been eating all day. He chuckled.
"Btw I hope the Netflix was working fine. I don't watch movies but I had asked Stacy to give that tv a bit of look. And I love that bow on your hairs. Stacy did your hairs I believe." he tried to start a conversation. Naira nodded softly.
"Did you call my dad???" asked she anxiously. He turned his face away for a second and rolled his eyes. Can they just talk about each other??? EASY EASY NARASIMHA!!!! SHE'S JUST A LITTLE GIRL!!!! He cleared his throat.
"I tried to but the number was out of reach. I'll try tomorrow. Do you want some plantains??" he asked sweetly or should I say over sweetly. Naira looked up at him gingerly.
"I am actually full. I have eaten so much all day. I can't eat more." she told him nervously. He chuckled.
"That's ok, one chapatti isn't going to hurt. Come on eat one and that's it." he said pushing the plate towards her. She pushed it away slightly.
"No I can't." she resisted childishly. He huffed. Smoothly he pulled her chair towards him and she gasped loudly.
"What are...."
"You aren't sleeping empty stomach. I don't want you waking up in the middle of the night with your stomach growling for food. Come, eat slowly and one chapatti is not a big deal." he spoke scoldingly as Naira looked at her plate in anxiety. The food looked delicious but her stomach was full and seems like this man wouldn't back down until she eats one full chapatti. She decided to try and eat.
"And we have brownies as a dessert." he told her, his lips literally on her hairs. She looked up at him with her pretty little eyes that melted his heart.
"Can I take one to my room??" she asked politely. He chuckled as he squeezed her cheeks which she obviously found quite weird.
"You can take more since I don't eat them." he told her as he started digging into his food.
