"What!!!! I can't believe this.....well actually I can!!!! Looking at his behaviour, I knew something was seriously wrong with that guy. Now my fears have come true.....see he's literally after you now." Kirti whispered anxiously as they both sat in the cafeteria of the college. Naira looked at her timorously.
"Kirti i don't know when did he started having such thoughts about me...."
"Naira dear, he was having such thoughts the night you first met at the hotel. Don't you see, he purposely staged this whole kidnapping and then dropped you back home.....be smart Naira, he has done everything to get your attention. And I fear he isn't going to stop here. He's planning something else.....something far too dangerous in his head." Kirti spoke shrewdly. Naira gasped loudly.
"Don't say like that Kirti.....i cannot fight him off. You know he's a powerful man. Even my family can't do anything to stop him." she said ruefully. Kirti sighed.
"But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Look!!! I think we should involve police in this matter." Kirti advised her. Naira looked up at her shocked.
"Have you lost your mind!!!! Didn't I tell you he has his people in the police department??? Going to the police would prove to be the biggest mistake of my life. Narasimha will fume if I tried involving anybody in this matter." Naira cried. Kirti tried to placate her.
"I understand Naira but maybe there are certain good people in the police who may help us out. Look Naira we got to try something or else he will keep on tormenting you. And who knows if the police takes care of him than you wouldn't have to involve your family and risk their lives. What say???" Kirti offered. Naira was dubious regarding this offer proposed by her best friend. Besides, there was no guarantee that it would work. However, she knew she needed to give it a shot.
"Ok. Let's try." she whispered meekly and kirti grinned widely.

So kirti and Naira visited the police station to find someone who could help them out. They both were pretty much fools and immature and they knew it, yet they had no choice but to come and seek help from strangers since seeking help from the loved ones would ultimately end their lives, so why take the risk. Fortunately as they entered, they saw a young sub inspector heading into their direction. He had a file in his hand and he was basically going to the left, however when he saw two young girls standing in the police station, he grew a bit perplexed.
"Um how may I help you??" he asked politely. Naira and kirti looked at each other nervously. The sub inspector understood that they wanted to talk about something that either was very private or was very dangerous, or maybe like most of the girls their age they have came here to lodge a complaint against their family for not buying them a brand new mobile phone.
"Feel free to speak about whatever is bothering you. We are here to help you." he assured them that they had came to the right place. Naira gulped.
"Officer, there's a guy who's troubling my best friend." kirti told him. The young man's eyebrows furrowed.
"Tell me his name. I'll take care of the rest." he said seriously. Naira looked up at him nervously.
"Narasimha Varma." she spoke meekly. The young man's face developed a sickly pallor. He looked really pale and corpse like.

The sudden change in officer's face startled and terrified Naira and Kirti. Surely Narasimha Varma wasn't a common man, however he wasn't supposed to be the dread of the police officers. That's what happens when you allow people like Narasimha to grow and become a menace.
"Officer!!!" Naira's voice snapped his trance. He looked at her pityingly.
"Are you sure???" he confirmed. Naira nodded without any hesitation.
"If that's the case then I will go and have a little chat with him, although I can't promise that I would be able to help you much." he told them. Naira nodded.

At around 11 in the night, when everyone in her house had went to sleep, Naira heard a shuffle of feet near her balcony. Throwing the light switch on, she trudged towards the balcony in her half sleeping state. The moment she stood before the door of the balcony, two hands grabbed her shoulders and she was pushed inside the room. Her sleep was broken and now she was fully awake and to her horror she found her biggest fear standing inside her room, elegantly closing the balcony door behind him. Fear seized her body. She wanted to shout yet her voice defied her.
"Baby girl!!!! Every single day you do something that pisses me off badly. Hmm!!! Why do you do that??? I called you 14 times today and not even once you responded. And that's not all, you tried to complain about me to a stupid police officer!!! Baby.....what's the matter???" he said agitated as he came into the room. Naira tried to run but he seized her arm and yanked her to his chest.
"Leave me Mr. Varma!!" she cried, hitting him on his chest. He threw his arms around her body, capturing her little body in his big brawny arms.
"You see baby, if you've any grievances with me or my behaviour, come to me and talk to me. You won't go around inviting other people between us, I won't allow that. That makes me mad and you know what happens when I am mad....lemme show you." he pulled out his phone and showed her a video of a young man who she recognised as the kind police officer, gagged and tied to a rickety chair. She could see he was crying in the video. Her heart clenched at the sight of him weeping miserably. She looked at him in horror.
"Please don't....why are you doing this to him!!! Please leave him.....I beg you!!!" She pleaded with tears. He chuckled as he kissed her cheeks.
"Aww baby.....i can't say no to you ever. However, you have to earn his freedom.....!!!" he told her darkly, something eerie and mysterious creeping into his eyes. She looked at him innocently.
"I don't understand." she whispered. He smirked cruelly.
"Tomorrow is my birthday. And I want to celebrate my big day with you. So you will come to my house on your own.....i will send a car for you don't worry. However if you don't do as I say....baby that man will die. And he shall go down like a dog. Understood." he said creepily, scaring her to the core.
