Nilima was a little anxious when Naira didn't answer her calls. Her first thought was that it was all Narasimha's doing which she ultimately confided into her mother only to get rebuffed and called paranoid by her. However she knew that something wasn't right. Her big sister intuition was kicking off again. Her family on the other hand were positive that Narasimha must've stopped in the way to grab a bite. Not that concerning. But to Nilima it was all too concerning and frightening. She knew he was a wrong man. She knew he was capable of causing irreparable damage. And to top it all off, she had seen a weird emotion in his eyes whenever he's close to Naira. Something dark glimmer in those eyes when she's around him. And that thought itself was too scary for Nilima.
Inside Narasimha's house, Naira was sobbing curled up into a ball on his bed. It was soon going to get dark and her parents would start getting worried for her. She wanted to go back to her house asap. Besides he hadn't turned up since an hour. Not that she was complaining. However in this strange mansion, he was the only one she knew but that's another thing that he was the root cause of this problem. And as she was thinking all this, she heard the sound of clicking of the door and before she knew, Narasimha Varma was stepping inside the room with a plate full of food in his hands. Well, Narasimha had a lot of people who could bring food and other items to his beloved, but today Narasimha wanted to feed her with his own hands. In his dark, twisted head she was his lover who he needs to woo by any means. Anyways, as he came into the room poor Naira's heartbeat soared. She could feel her hands and feet turning cold. He had his characteristic smile plastered on his face as he walked to the bed.
"Hi baby, I thought you must be hungry. Look what I got for you, pasta and breadsticks. You love them don't you." he spoke tenderly as he sat next to her leading her to shift a little on the bed.
"Mr. Varma please I want to go home." she requested, eyes holding tears. He looked at her anxiously.
"Baby what's wrong!!! Why're you crying??" he asked as he held her in his arms and buried her head into his strong, muscular chest. She was addled. Like don't you have any idea why she was crying???? It was you after all who kidnapped her and scared her which ultimately led her to sob.
"Please don't cry love. You have no idea how much it hurts me to see you crying. I love you so much that I can't see you in tears." he told her sweetly, running his fingers along the length of her hairs. She looked up at him, nose red and eyes watery.
"Mr. Varma if......you can't see me crying.....than take me back home please...." she hiccuped, wiping away her tears with the back of her hand. Narasimha smiled down at her pityingly.
"Ok baby, I will take you back. But first you finish your food. Am I clear??" he told her firmly. She nodded quickly. It was during the late hours of evening when Narasimha dropped her off to her home. He lied to them that they both were stuck in a traffic after they left a cafe. The family believed him because for them Narasimha was a well wisher. It was only Naira who knew who he truly was and what his true intentions were. After dropping her off, Narasimha went back to his own house and Naira was relieved. Having him around was like having a devil around you, always too terrifying and unnerving. She didn't tell anyone about what happened at Narasimha's place because she was afraid he might do something to her family. Besides her family needed him, especially after all he had done for them. Thinking about all this, she hopped into the bed to get some sleep and rid her mind of his thoughts. However, she wasn't so lucky. The moment she closed her eyes to sleep, her phone rang. No surprises, it was Narasimha Varma. She wanted to not answer the call but she was scared to piss him off. So she answered it anyway.
"Hello..." she stuttered, sitting up on the bed.
"I am missing you baby!!" he said, a little out of breath. She gulped.
"Mr. Varma please......you're very older than me. And I can never think of you the way you think of me. Please leave me alone." she begged. He chuckled on the phone.
"I understand baby.....this is all very new to you. But I promise baby....you'll start liking me and hopefully you'll also start loving me. We'll have our own family Naira......you have no idea how excited I am to make you mine. You know.....i have always wanted a family. A family where we all live happily together. And I am so sure you will be a perfect wife and mother. I just know it." he told her sweetly. Naira was disgusted. How could somebody even think like that???
"No Mr. Varma.....this will never happen. You're crazy!!!" she said hatefully.
"It will happen Naira. All you need to do is trust me. We will be perfect together. Just you and me......i promise I will take care of everything!!!!" his voice was laced with desperation. Naira was aghast.
"No!!!!!" she snapped at him and immediately hung up. She then threw the phone on the table and slipped under the covers, too scared to even think about this man.Around midnight, when everyone in her family was fast asleep, Naira heard her phone ringing again. She yawned as she rubbed her eyes. Inwardly she cursed at the one who was calling so late in the night but maybe it was an emergency. She picked up the call without even seeing the number.
"Hello...." she yawned. At first there was a complete silence from the other end but soon she heard a whispering voice.
"Are you sleeping baby girl!!!" and her sleep immediately flew away. She sat up horrified.
"Mr. Varma......why are you calling me this late!!!!" she asked in a whisper, afraid that her family would hear her voice.
"What do you mean by call when I am standing right under your balcony!!!" he spoke in a low voice. Naira's eyes shot wide open. What was he doing outside her house at midnight??? What would people make of it??? What if her family sees him???
"Mr. Varma please go!!!!! Please!!!" she pleaded anxiously. She heard a smooth chuckle from the other side.
"Nooooo!!!!" he refused flatly. Naira was agitated.
"Why Mr. Varma???? What will it take for you to leave???" she asked him angrily. He laughed like a maniac.
"I drove 3 kms from my house to yours just to have a look at you. You come into your balcony and I promise I will leave." he told her grimly. Naira never wanted to take orders from him but she had no choice. She nervously trudged to her balcony and looked down. Under the starless sky, she found him standing like a figure of stone, watching her mesmerised.
"Look i came. Now please leave." she pleaded, her phone pressed against her ear. A slight curve appeared on his lips as he saw her standing nervously in her balcony. How pure and beautiful she looked in the baby pink night outfit. Her eyes were puffy as she had woken up between her sleep. He chided himself for ruining her sleep. But only if she knew what control she had on him. He couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, couldn't work until he had a look of her. She was his medicine. She was the only thing that kept him sane. And he wanted her all for himself.
"I love you baby. I will always love you." he whispered on the phone. She shuddered.
"I don't love you Mr. Varma." she told him meekly. She could see his eyes darkened.
"Don't worry baby, I will make you love me even if it's against your will." he promised, looking her dead in the eye.__________________________________
