It was the last day of winter holidays at Hogwarts. All the students and professors has already arrived to school. Everyone gathered at the Great hall for dinner. All kinds of food were served tonight: from roasted chicken legs and steaks with vegetables to pumpkin pies, puddings, cupcakes and, for some reason, mint candies.
The hall was lively. Laughs were heard from students' side. Some students discussed how did they spend their holidays, some were not happy because of the new term. Some just sat and were ready to eat their dinner. Professors were sitting at their table. Some of them were talking, some of them were just sitting silently.
Professor Snape was looking at all the students with his usual grumpy face. Potions Master wasn't happy to see all of them again. Especially Gryffindor. This house has always been the most annoying for Severus. Again exploded cauldrons, detentions and stupid questions. This thought made Severus wanna vomit.

Suddenly his gaze fell onto unknown figure at the table. It was a girl, maybe in her nineteenth. She singled out among the other professors. She was wearing a purple corset and black jeans which wasn't typical for Hogwarts. Severus could say it was even inappropriate. But the most significant feature that caught Severus's attention were her eyes. They were deep purple. The girl was rather serious, even grumpy. She sat at the table between Minerva and Remus. She crossed her arms on her chest. A small smile touched her face only when she looked at Minerva.

'Who is she? What does she do here?' Severus asked himself.
Suddenly the girl turned her head at Professor's direction. Light smile touched coners of her lips again. Severus looked away quickly without returning the smile. Headmaster Dumbledore stood up and went at to the middle of the Great hall.
"Silence!" he thundered.
All the conversations and laughings stopped. Dead silence filled the hall. Everyone was looking at headmaster waiting for what will he say.
"Thank you" Albus said a bit quieter with a smile. "Dear professors and students! Let me introduce you our new Herbology professor. Miss Helen Green."
