"Stace, it's not a big deal. You're in the same class as your crush, I'd love it if I had science with Chloe." Beca smiled. After the first three days of school, she finally got the confidence to ask out Chloe, the redhead she liked.

Amy laughed and nodded. "Go in there and crush it, Legs." The blonde grinned. "Okay...meet me in the old bike shed after science, yeah?" The two girls nodded and waved as they walked off to their own lesson. I entered the lab to find Aubrey sat next to where I've always sat, and my seat was empty.

"Hi! Stacie, right?" She asked as I took my seat, a huge grin on her face. "Yeah." I mumbled in response, more than sure I was blushing.

She nodded and pulled out her chemistry notebook and a pink pen. I rummaged through my bag to find a pen, just to be met with a broken ruler and a compass. "Uh...sorry, but do you have a spare?"

Aubrey went into her pencil case, which was also pink, and pulled out a black pen. "Here. It should still work."

I forced a smile and took the pen. Our teacher, Miss Lee, came in a few minutes late. "I'm so sorry, I was sorting out an incident with a couple girls in my form."

"Who?" Some random boy asked. Miss Lee rolled her eyes and smiled. "Emily Junk and Amanda Clayton. Not that it's really any of your business, Mr Smith."

My eyes widened and Aubrey raised an eyebrow. "Are you okay?"

"Emily is my friend's sister. Crap, I better message her.." I muttered, pulling my phone out and hiding it under the table. The blonde nodded and turned slightly so my phone was completely covered. "Thanks." I whispered as Miss Lee started explaining the work.

Stacie: BEC

Beca: yo

Stacie: em's in trouble with her form tutor!!

Beca: wiat what?

Stacie: yeah miss lee just said that she had to sort something out between her and some other girl called amanda

Beca: amanda clayton?

Stacie: yeah

Beca: mandy is her ownly frend hear

Stacie: is she?

Beca: well she definetly was clossest frend

Stacie: why would she get into trouble with her best friend?

Beca: i gotta go get my overlay

Stacie: meet me in the printer room

Beca: alrite

I put my hand up and Miss Lee cane over. "Yes, Stacie?"

"Please can I go to the bathroom? It's an..emergency." I asked, silently cursing myself for using that excuse. She nodded slowly and handed me a hall pass. "Take your time, sweetie."

I quickly ran out of the room and straight into the printer room, where Beca was waiting for me. "Stace. Is Em alright? Should we go and break her out of lesson?" The brunette asked, grabbing her blue overlay and putting it in her backpack.

"I guess..can it not wait until after lesson?" I asked, hopeful that Beca would let me get back to Aubrey.

She shook her head and grabbed my wrist. "No. She sent me a copy of her timetable, lets find her." Beca said, smiling. "Ugh...fine." She dragged me to English 14, where Em was.

"Uh...hi, Mrs Hassall...we need Emily. Emily Junk. Is she in here?" I asked quietly. Mrs Hassall shook her head and smiled. "I'm sorry sweetie, she hasn't arrived to lesson." Beca laughed quietly and nodded. "Alright. Sorry to bother you, Miss." Beca muttered, grabbing my arm again and pulling me away from the room.

"That little shit..god, when Dad and Sheila find out that she's been skipping classes. On the third day too! She's gonna be balls deep in shit.." Beca grumbled, walking out of the main campus and heading towards hers and Emily's dorm block.

I laughed softly and Beca shot me a glare. "Don't. It isn't funny. I bet she's asleep.."

"And you weren't any different in our freshman year. Do you know how many times me and Amy were dragging you out of bed? I mean, once we literally pulled you out of bed without realising you only had a bra and a thong on..." I muttered, grimacing at the memory. Beca nodded and laughed. "I remember. You and Ames were scarred for life."

We entered Beca's dorm and were met with the sight of a sleeping brunette. "I was right. Emily Shannon Junk, get your ass out of that bed and explain why the fuck you aren't in english right now!" She screamed.

Emily sat bolt upright, her chest bouncing up and down. "Fuck, Beca! You don't have to shout!"

"And Dad will do more than shout later when I tell him you were cutting class! Get out, now." Beca demanded, opening the curtains.

Emily groaned and lay back down. "No."

I watched as Beca turned around and raised her eyebrows while smiling, a look I knew all too well.

"Excuse me?"

"I said no."

"Emily Shannon, I swear to God."

"I'm not going. Mrs Hassall is a bitch!"

"Don't ever talk about Mrs Hassall like that. She's possibly the best teacher at Barden, so keep her name out of your mouth."

"You called her a cow once."

"No, that was Miss Cooper that I called a cow."

"Whatever."

"You have two minutes to be out and dressed before I call Dad and he comes to drag you out himself."

"Dad's at a conference in Vegas."

"With Sheila?"

"Yeah."

"Then..I'll call Auntie Mel. She's in Atlanta right now, she won't put up with whatever this is."

"Speaking from experience, Bec?"

"What if I am?"

"See? You're no better than I am."

"Right, but I actually had reasons for skipping lessons. I was working on my future music career and crying over the fact I couldn't do any of the work."

"And it's my fault you're dyslexic how?"

"I never said that, Em."

"You're acting like it."

"Okay. I'll just call Auntie Mel then."

Emily rolled her eyes and pulled the sheets back over her head, so Beca dialled her auntie's number and called it.

------

"Ah, Miss Conrad! How nice of you to join us again." Miss Lee smiled sarcastically. "Was your emergency so bad that you were found in Rebeca Mitchell's dormitory?"

I nodded and forced a small smile. "Sorry, I needed some paracetamol." I mumbled, pulling out a box of paracetamol as fake proof.

She gasped before shaking her head and smiling. "I'm sorry, that's fine. Take your seat again, please."

I headed back to my seat and Aubrey raised her eyebrow. "Were you really in there for paracetamol?" The blonde queried. "Obviously not. We were getting her sister to ask her what happened earlier. And we found her cutting class in her dorm." I replied.

She laughed and nodded. "Of course. Quick, copy my answers." She smiled.
