Bill never understood why Blair disliked him, but her inexplicable hatred made him dislike her just as much. Luckily for them, they come to realise it was all just a misunderstanding.

I sighed as I walked into Bill's house for our tutoring session. He instantly noticed I was upset, and began talking to me once we sat down on the couch.
"You okay?" He asked. I nodded unconvincingly. "Come on, what's the matter?"
"It's been over a week since me and Toby broke up, and people are still talking about it."
"I'm sorry. Breakups are hard."
"It's not that."
"Hm?"
"I don't care about me and Toby breaking up, that doesn't make me upset, but people are talking about the cheating, and who speculating who he cheated with. I just don't wanna hear it anymore."
"I get it, being cheated on's hard."
"You've been cheated on?"
Bill nodded. "Sophomore year, by Ella. You remember her, right? She left school not long after."
I didn't really know what to say to that, so I just leaned in and hugged Bill, hoping he'd accept it. I couldn't express my emotions very well, so I pretty much just hugged people all the time, hoping it'd get through what I wanted to say but couldn't.
He accepted my hug, wrapping his arms around me as I felt him relax. "Are we friends, Bill?" I asked, pulling away. I knew he said he needed time, but he'd had time now, and he seemed to be friendly enough with me.
He smiled. "We're friends, Blair."

BILL'S POV November 17th, 2007
As it got closer and closer to Christmas, more and more people were talking about all the parties they were gonna have during winter break. I just hoped Blair would be at all the ones I was at.
"You okay?" Tom asked me. We were in homeroom, and I'd barely spoke all morning.
"Yeah," I said, "Just thinking about winter break."
"We have two weeks until then."
"I know, just- I'm getting bored of school."
Tom laughed. "I think we all are, all the time."
I looked over at Blair, who was doing homework. It was our chemistry homework. "Homework last minute again?" I asked.
"Shush," Blair said, "I did all of it the day we got it, I just missed a question."
"Mhm."
"I'm serious!"
"I believe you. Totally believe you."
Blair pulled a face at me before turning back to her work. I smiled, before turning back to my brother, who had a big, cheesy grin on his face. I shook my head, and he pulled out his phone. I felt my own phone go off in my pocket a second later. I rolled my eyes, pulling it out.

I rolled my eyes and out my phone back in my pocket. Little did Tom know, I'd already realised it.
