School's out, twins in {part 3}

Velvet was shocked this girl was the one Orchid had been so afraid of. She was a spoiled brat at worst. Then again, Vel knew better than anyone else not to trust first impressions. "Tell me more about her."

Orchid shoved the twins into a closet where Ritz and some others were already hiding out. "Hey again Veneer. Meet the other idiots."

Veneer raised an eyebrow, as this was an unusual thing to call a group of people who seemed to be your friends. "Sorry, what?"

"Oh, that's just what Minnie calls us. We decided to embrace it. These are Jinx (they/them), Kyle (she/her), and Ted (he/him)."

Velvet tried to find a spot that wasn't sticky from whatever the heck was in these closets. "So, I get that she's a menace, but why hide from her?"

Jinx spoke up. "She's worse than a menace, she's a nightmare!"

Kyle put a flashlight under her chin to make herself look scarier. "She's like a horror villain that doesn't kill anyone, she just makes school even more of a hell than it already was."

Ted swallowed some crumbs of who-knows-what he had found on the floor. "And she gets away with it, because she's the superintendents daughter. He can easily bend or break policy for her so she never gets in trouble, not even a warning."

Veneer was intimidated by the way they all spoke of her. Sure, Velvet would do some crazy stuff every now and then, but no one had ever spoke of her that way. Maybe it was because her antics were either to liberate other students from mental torture, or to send a message of not to mess with the two of them. Velvet pounded her fist onto a bucket that was conveniently turned upside down. "She's not just going to keep doing this forever! What we need is someone with higher authority, or a way to frame her for something so bad that her dad won't forgive her and she'll be expelled!"

The entirety of the group asked the same question at once: "but how?"

A twisted smile came to the face of the tween girl. "You'll see."
