The next day at school, it was time for health class again. This time, the kids were learning about drugs and alcohol (even though they should be classified as the same thing). Once again, Mr. Pitt withheld no details. "So, if you do drugs, you will most likely suffer from extreme side effects and probably die."

Orchid looked mortified. "Goodbye, childhood."

She proceeded to faint. Thankfully, the school nurse was nothing like the rumors made her out to be. Velvet looked at Veneer. "This is pretty entertaining coming from the guy who I see smoking outside the school every single time he's off duty."

Veneer tried to hold in a chuckle. "That hypocrite smokes two packs a day!"

"Wasn't that a line in Fight For Your Right by The Beastie Boys?"

"Oh yeah. Why does mom love that band so much?"

"Beats me, all the songs sound the same."

In the nurses office, Orchid was tell Mz. Wells what happened that caused her to faint. Mz. Wells didn't seem to approve of Mr. Pitt's teaching methods. "That was not at all how it should be taught. I used to teach that, but they only stopped me because I already had a job as the nurse and they didn't want to overwhelm me. They didn't even ask about what I thought."

"That's messed up."

"I know, right?"

"I bet you did a much better job than Mr. The Pitts."

"Good one!"

Back in class, Velvet raised her hand. "What is it, troublemaker?"

"Yeah, what gives you the right to traumatize these children? You were a janitor right before this unit! Go back to what we appreciated you for! You once made everyone happy by keeping the school neat. Now you're causing us misery!"

"I'm sorry, what does this have to do with secondhand smoking?"

Everyone collectively facepalmed. Thankfully for their sanity, Orchid and Mz. Wells had informed the Principal about the negative impacts on the students. Ms. Glitz immediately spoke up. "Mr. Pitt, we thank you for your contribution to this school, really, we do, but I regret to inform you that you are...moving to another job."

"You can't fire me, I quit! I hate these stupid kids! They always cause messes! That's why I applied for this job!"

"...I'm reporting you too."

The students cheered as Mr. Pitt walked out. Velvet looked disappointed. "Why is the solution to these problems always so simple? Why can't it ever be more interesting?"

Veneer thought for a minute. "Maybe there's a lesson here. Maybe we should make morally correct decisions to solve our problems rather than overly elaborate shortcuts and loopholes that will only get us in deeper sh!t."

"Nah. Wanna go cut up the roses in the school garden?"

"Why do I always listen to you?"
