"I know what I'm doing for my summer experience
essay." Richie announced before Eddie looked up,
calling the losers' attention.

"Hey guys. Look. The kids are floating down." Violet
looked at the children floating down back to the
ground until her eyes landed on something bright
yellow. Bill walked to it as they each started to softly
cry.

Violet sat down next to Bill, each taking a piece of
Georgie's raining coat. She laid her head on Bill's
shoulder as they each started to cry louder, Stanley
taking a seat next to Violet as he pulled her into his
arms, allowing her to cry on his shoulder.

_____________

"I can only remember parts, but... I thought | was
dead. That's what it felt like..." Beverly began.
September had arrived fairly quickly, and it was now
a week before the Losers would start high school.
But Beverly would not be joining them as she was
moving to Portland to live with her aunt.

"I saw us, all of us together back in the cistern ... but
We were older... like, our parents' ages..." Violet held
Stanley's hand as she laid her head on his shoulder,
relaxing a bit as she felt the bandage around his
head against her hair.

"W-W-W-What were we all doing there?"

"I just remember how we felt... How scared we
were. I don't think I can ever forget that...." she
replied in a thoughtful tone. She was staring down
at the ground for a long moment, thinking about
what she had just told them.

Bill suddenly leaned down to pick up something. He
then stood up with a determined look on his face.
"Swear it," he began with a confident voice. "S Swear... if It isn't dead... if It ever comes back.... We'll
come back too." Violet gave Bill a knowing look and
nodded, standing up and smiling at her brother.

Slowly, one by one, every other teenager stood up,
each of them silently promising Bill and Violet that
they would also return to Derry when that inevitable
day arrived.

Bill walked over to Richie first after cutting his own
palm. She saw him take the shard of glass and run it
across the boy's hand. He almost cried out in pain at
the contact, but managed to hold it in. Bill did this
with everyone else, each of them grimacing greatly
at the stinging pain in their hands. When he cut
Beverly's hand, she merely flinched at the contact,
but otherwise didn't react.

And then Bill finally approached Violet, holding out
the blood coated glass shard. He gently took hold of
her hand and looked directly into her eyes. He cut
her hand and than stood next to her, passing the
glass to her as she cut his hand, than all losers
joined hands and waited for a few moments, Violet
holding Bill's and Stanley's, feeling the warm liquid
drip over her hands.

_______________

"I gotta go," Stan said, and everyone else looked up
at him. The boy, who still had bandages on his face
from the wounds in the battle was glaring at Bill. "I
hate you," he added to him. Violet smiled as she
noticed something he was smiling, indicating that he
was only joking. Violet laughed with relief, as well as
the others. "I'll see you later," Stan said, turning to
walk away before Violet grabbed his hand again,
walking with him.

They walked along the kissing bridge as he grabbed
a small knife from his pocket, carving an 'S' and an
'V' before taking her hand as she moved her hand to
his neck, smiling as they pulled each other into a
passionate kiss. The danger was finally over.. for 27
years at least.
