Stolen Love || Jikook [ONGOING]

Chapter 10

Yoongi and Jungkook had picked up Taehyung's jasmine scent along with fresh tracks which meant that they weren't far behind him, them never having stopped moving. However, along with Taehyung's scent and tracks they found another set of wolf tracks much bigger than Taehyung's, seemingly tracking him as well. The two wolves locked eyes; the word rogue silently exchanged between the two before they took off in the direction that Taehyung's tracks led. As they followed the tracks, Taehyung's jasmine scent became stronger yet as they continued onward the scent became distressed and scared.

It was then that they heard the howl which only confirmed their fears that there was indeed a rogue on their lands. Within minutes another howl reached their ears, only this one filled with pain. Both of them knew at that moment that the rogue, likely an alpha because of its tracking of the omega, had caught up to and found Taehyung.

If possible, they sped up faster knowing that if they didn't make it to Taehyung in time that it would kill him or worse. Within moments, they burst through the tree line, Yoongi in the lead.

Yoongi barely registered the scene of the large wolf, larger than himself, lowering its maw towards Taehyung's wolf which was bloodied and unmoving before he lunged himself at the rogue and attacked.

The rogue focused on the omega beneath him had no idea it was being attacked until it felt claws and teeth rip into its upper back, the force of which caused the two wolves to roll. Yoongi only dug his claws and teeth in deeper to keep from being flung off the wolf as they hit the ground. The rogue howled in rage as it stood, trying but failing to shake Yoongi off its back. Just as before with its attention focused on him, the rogue wolf didn't see Jungkook circle around them as they struggled. Yoongi locked eyes with Jungkook right before he began to use his claws on his hind feet to rip into the rogue's lower back causing it to buck upward to throw him off. Yoongi watched as Jungkook's wolf lunged forward, jaws open wide aiming for the rogue's throat. As soon as Yoongi heard the rogue let out a gurgling howl of pain, Yoongi knew Jungkook had managed to lock onto his targeted area. Yoongi let himself fall to the ground as the rogue thrashed beneath him.

Jungkook clamped down harder on the rogue's throat as it tried in vain to rip itself free only tearing its own throat open further. Jungkook stayed locked onto the rogue until it stopped moving completely before he let it go. Jungkook watched the wolf slump over on its side, onto the ground, blood pooling from its various wounds, surrounding it saturating the ground it lay.

Jungkook, still keeping an eye on the fallen rogue, shifted back to his human form.

"Jungkook."

Jungkook turned around at the call of his name to find Yoongi shifted back and cradling Taehyung's unconscious wolf form in his lap. Jungkook rushed over and knelt, eyes raking over his coat of silver fur that was almost entirely red.

"I'm sure it's not all his blood." Jungkook spoke, trying to reassure both of them.

"Help me get him to the river." Yoongi spoke as he shifted the wolf over so that Jungkook could help carry Taehyung over to the river. "We need to wash away the blood to see where the injuries outside of his back hind leg are."

Jungkook nodded as the two of them walked over to the river's edge. Jungkook, after laying Taehyung down as near to the edge without him falling into the river, lowered himself down into the river's water. Jungkook grit his teeth against the cold biting into his skin as he began to help Yoongi rinse Taehyung's fur. Once the water ran faintly pink, they stopped, the two of them hopping back out of the water and up onto the riverbed and began to assess Taehyung's injuries.

"He has some puncture wounds to his lower back area." Yoongi stated.

"The rogue must have latched onto him from behind like you did with it." Jungkook surmised.
