Lucas's POV:

I pulled up to my friend Landon's cousins wedding as his plus one. Of course, almost as soon as we both get there Landon immediately finds a plug and buys about 10kg from them of Coke. I've never been one for drugs, but Landon is all over them. Trying things like Adderall, to Xanax he can't get enough of them. Him and I split up because he has to give his congrats and all the normal wedding things. I'm looking at my phone and not watching where I am going when all of a sudden, I bump into someone, and they spill their drink all over my suit.

I was started to get upset when caught a glimpse of the girl who spills it on me.

"Oh. My. God. I'm so sorry. Here let me clean it up, I'm terribly sorry." She says frantically.

"Hey, it's nothing. Just water." I say with a smile on my face. At first glance you can see a strong independent woman but as you look closer her flaws start to show.

You have to look closely, but they are there quite a few I can point out. She covers her stomach and closes her eyes whenever I move my hand. I catch her licking her lips and looking down, so I use my thumb and bring her face to meet mine.

She looks up and goes to say something, but I cut her off. Without thinking I kissed her... Wait? I KISSSED HER?! I kissed her, and I liked it. We made out for what feels seconds and I could have. No, I would have kept going but Landon walks up to us.

"Oh, Lucas I see that you've met my sister Evelyn." He says with a quick glare to her.

"Lucas has been over a couple times at the house Evelyn. How do you not remember?" He questions. Something shifts because she's slowly backing up from me and starting to tear up.

"Landon did you come over here for a reason, or just to bother?" I ask with a rough tone. I'm upset with the tone he uses for his sister. It's like he sees her as nothing, just another obstacle in his path. Not a family member that she truly is, it pisses me off, but I have to try and stay cool.

"Oh, right. Mother wants you, Evelyn." and with that Landon walks off.

"Well, what now?" I ask looking at Evelyn who is staring blankly at something in the distance. She snaps out of it shortly after and just says that the past incidents were a mistake that she made. Then she ran off to her mother and that was the end of it.
