Hyunjin was probably the most isolated person on Earth.
It was no use approaching him if he didn't approach you first. Which is a thing you can only hope he succeeds in doing. Or learning.
The only friends he had that he was close to were from his childhood, Seungmin and Chan.
Chan was the most understanding person Hyunjin knew. He was calm and patient, willing to listen to anyone, unlike Hyunjin himself. He was very close to him and genuinely liked being around him.
Chan was most of the time busy with his love life with Changbin so most of the time, he had the company of Seungmin.
Seungmin was the complete opposite of Hyunjin. He was good at socialising, cheerful, and very energetic.
Hyunjin liked his company because he couldn't imagine being with someone who was exactly the same as he was. Sometimes, he wonders why he is even like the way he is. But, that's the least of his worries. Especially at his house.
If anything, he tries his best to stay out of his house because he can never find peace as long as he's inside. Not that his parents care if he's home or not, but it feels like he's doing a big favour for them by just not being there.
Again, Hyunjin was a very isolated person. He had secrets he couldn't afford to tell to anyone he didn't trust.
It was a Sunday. It was the last day of the weekend and Hyunjin was desperately looking for an excuse to leave the house. After lunch, he had locked himself in his room, staring at the dark walls of the dull room. The window was the only source of light in the huge room.
Grabbing his phone, he texted Seungmin, asking if he was free and wanted to go out or something.
Seungmin replied saying that he wasn't and had a family occasion since his sister was getting engaged.
It was 5:00 pm when he had called Seungmin and ever since then, he had been lying almost lifelessly on his bed, staring at the roof, turning to the side to see the light from the window hitting his face.
He groaned, getting up and pulling the curtain over the window, the room growing instantly dark. He walked back to his bed, lying back down, feeling like he was lost or something.
He felt like he had no purpose. Like, he was just there but for no particular reason.
The clock ticked as the minutes passed and Hyunjin felt his eyes closing as sleep took over his mind.
He didn't know how long he had been asleep by the time he woke up to the sound of his phone ringing.
He groaned, picking it up to see the caller ID which said 'Seungmin.'
"Hello?" Hyunjin said in a dull voice as he answered the phone.
"Woah, you sound like you're sick."
"I'm not, don't worry. What happened?"
"Well, my sister's boring engagement dinner is over. Changbin called me saying that San's holding a party at his place. Wanna come with?"
"Sure."
"Seriously, hyung. You're not sick, are you?"
"I'm not. I just woke up from a nap."
"Alright, good. Well, hurry up, then."
"Yeah, I will. See you at San's."
"Byeeeeeee."
Hyunjin hung up, sighing, as he sat up, sighing. He walked to the bathroom, taking a quick shower before drying his hair and putting on the first outfit he could see in his wardrobe.
