'Dinah took a deep breath and slid sideways into the weeds, feeling them part just enough to let her through before swallowing her up in stems and leaves. They scratched at her skin and blah blah blah......'

Felix groaned, the words he read only lasted for a few seconds in his mind before completely vanishing like they were never there before.

After school, his parents had made a specific 'reading' time for him ever since he was 13. It had been 5 years and he still hadn't gotten used to it. Reading was just not his thing, especially when it came to reading books.

He had to read a book for at least an hour, doesn't matter what, an hour it was. His parents had a library in their house with over 200 books that Felix wonders if they bought or were just from their childhood.

He took a good 10 minutes to choose a book from the large room, the only one he found some sort of interest in was called 'Black Canary: Breaking Silence'. Then he went to one of the many rooms in his mansion, one with a large window that gave a view of the beautiful garden, with a couch just beside it with more books placed in racks and cabinets sealed with glass doors. At this point, he was convinced that his parents were obsessed with books.

'A tangle of bare branches poked through the iron bars, like spindly arms......'

Felix groaned again, looking up to see the clock which showed 4:30 pm, meaning he still had half an hour left. He had only reached page 5 of the book and he was already bored out of his mind.

"I hate reading," Felix said, sighing.

There was a knock on the door, catching Felix's attention.

"Come in." He said and the door slowly opened and a maid slowly walked in, bowing before standing up straight.

"I apologise for any inconvenience, but there is currently a visitor who wishes to speak with you."She said,

"Kindly escort him to this room." Felix said, already knowing who it was.

"Certainly, sir." The maid bowed again before walking out of the room.

A few minutes later, the door opened and the person who walked was a familiar face. Someone Felix sees almost every day.

"Hey, Felix," Jisung said, sitting down next to Felix on the couch. "So, why didn't you come to San's party last night? You missed a lot."

"I regret that I was unable to attend the party as I had a prior commitment to a family dinner with my aunts, uncles, and grandparents."

Jisung laughed. "Okay, you can drop the smart tongue now. No need to be so formal around me. Besides, it's just you and me."

"I am inclined to disagree."

"You know, I think the words from the books you read are getting to your head."

"I struggle to recall the content of almost any book I have ever read."

At this point, Felix was purposely annoying Jisung and he could tell that Jisung knew.

"Oh, you wanna do this? Fine." Jisung said, before clearing his throat. "You might not be aware of the splendid event you missed. Your presence would have been most welcomed."

Felix laughed. Seeing Jisung speak formally was just laughable considering he rarely talks like that. He knows how to use the 'smart tongue' but you can barely see him talking so formally.

"While I could provide extensive details about the events that unfolded, there is a particular matter I feel compelled to address." Jisung continued.

"Han, just stop," Felix said, dying of laughter.
