As the storm approaches, the Martian forces prepare their assault. They erect 2 more FMs, bringing the total to 4. They walk in unison, under the cover of the storm hiding their stepping noises. The Goikian Ticonderoga-class cruiser, GS Fort Goiky, and her escorts, the subsonic Hydrofoil scout ships, GHS Destiny and GHS Tundra, were also passing by the mainland when they saw the tripods. Leafy was awoken by a rumbling noise, as she looked outside, the ships were bombarding the machines outside. One of the machines trembled and fell into the grass, the Martian inside was definitely dead from the impact shocks.
