"What the fuck was that!? Why did you just slap and punch my best friend?" Draco asked you as the two of you ran out of the hospital wing.
"He deserved it, Draco." You said. "I'll tell you more when we find a place to hide."
Neither of you spoke until you did in fact find somewhere that your father wouldn't think to look for you, the kitchens with the elves. The kitchen was owned by the elves and they were so welcoming and loving.
These elves weren't like normal house elves, they didn't clean and didn't provide for anyone, they wouldn't take orders. They were purely just there to make food for the professors and students at Hogwarts.
Due to the Malfoy Manor having a house elf, Dobby, the elves in the kitchen loved you and your twin brother. The elves knew Dobby on a personal note and let you and Draco in the kitchens at any time either of you wanted.
The elves let Draco and you in to hide from your parents and began making some sweet and savoury snacks for you two.
"So... Pansy's nice." You sarcastically said and then started laughing.
"You don't like her?" Draco asked and he waited a moment before laughing along with you. "Okay, I'll admit... she can be a bit much sometimes."
"A bit? Sometimes? Have we met the same girl?" You asked him. "Are was talking about the same person?"
"Maybe she isn't the best person at all times, but I really like her." Draco said to you and you couldn't help but smile. "She has been really supportive throughout all of this shit with the Dark Lord and father."
"You told her?" You asked your twin.
"Yeah." He nodded his head. "I've only told her and she swore she wouldn't tell a single soul. Have you not told anyone?"
"Not a soul." You told him. "I trust my friends with my life, but I just think they would see me differently if they find out about what we have to do... what has to be put on my arm soon."
"Hey, at least you don't have the dark mark already." Draco said, a chuckle behind his words, but you could tell he didn't mean it.
The week before school, your father tortured you for days at a time and while you were being tortured, Draco had to have private meetings with Voldemort. At those meetings, he got given the dark mark.
Draco made sure to tell you exactly how it went as he had a feeling he would be getting the mark soon. He told you that it hurt like nothing else in the world, the pain was unbearable.
"Does it still hurt?" You asked the boy.
"The pains gone down a lot, but it's still there." He said. "Madam Pomfrey tried to treat my arm earlier, just to have a look at it, but I completely freaked out and pushed her off of me."
"What did she do then?" You questioned.
"She let me push her." He told you. "I think she thought I was in so much pain and did not want to be touched, she was right... but for the wrong reasons."
"Oh, Draco." You sympathetically said.
"When are you getting yours? Has father told you yet?" Draco questioned you.
"Mum said it'll be any day now." You said.
"I'll try talk to him, you don't deserve to have that filth on your arm for the rest of your life, Daniella." Draco said to you.
"And you do? No, Draco, you do not." You said before he even got the chance to say that he did deserve it, because he did not. "I hate that I couldn't protect you from that."
"I'm your brother, I'm meant to be the one protecting you!" He raised his voice, you could tell he was getting quite angry and upset. "I can't protect you from this one."
"You aren't expected to." You told him. "We can't protect each other from this, we both have to do this. We have to kill Dumbledore or he will kill us."
You made sure to lower your voice when saying that as you didn't want any of the kitchen elves to hear you talking.
"I'm so sorry." Draco said. "I wish I could do something. I'm gonna try talk to dad, see if he can make the Dark Lord change things and make me-"
"Don't finish that sentence, don't you dare finish that." You demanded. "If you have to do this, I am by your side through all of it, we are in this together, Draco."
You pulled your twin brother into a hug and the two of you stayed like that for a while.

The rest of the day flew by and before you knew it, it was midnight. Draco and you spent the rest of the day in the kitchens together. You had snacks and just had so much fun together, you and him barely do stuff like that.
It was nice, you really liked it.
The coast was all clear, so the two of you left the kitchens and headed back to the Slytherin common room. The hallways were quiet and no one was around, but you two still had to be cautious because of Filch.
You made it back to the dungeons and no one was in the common room, no one except for one person.
Theodore Nott, obviously.
He looked up at Draco and you, saw your face, and looked back down at his lap. He had a lit cigarette in his fingers and was taking long drags of it every few seconds.
"I'm gonna stay down here." Draco said to you. "Do you want me to talk you up to your dorm?"
"I've got it, Draco, thanks." You told your twin brother. "I'll see you around."
"Goodnight." He said to you.
You walked away form your brother and he stayed in the same spot, Theodore still sat on the couch.
"Daniella!" Draco raised his voice and you turned back around. "Thank you for today."
"Thank you, Draco." You said to him before turning back around and leaving the room.
