I folded the schedule shut. I didn't know what time it was, but morning was fast approaching. "I'm going to go lie down one more time, because I want to be well rested."

The two nodded at me, but didn't seem to want to go to bed themselves.

I crept back into Talon's room, where he was still fast asleep. Slowly, I lifted the covers and snuggled down next to him. He growled and turned to me, opening his eyes slightly to look at me sleepily.

"Hey, kitten." His voice was rough and deep, making my body shiver.

Lightly, I gave him a kiss on his neck. He let out a soft laugh and placed a hand on my hip, which he then slowly began to stroke.

"Is that an invitation?" he whispered. I couldn't help but laugh slightly. When his hand started to wander, I stopped him.

"Talon, what did I tell you?"

Closing his eyes, he approached until his nose touched mine. "You said you needed sleep, but you don't sleep, I don't sleep, so we could occupy ourselves in other ways" Meanwhile, his hand wandered under my shirt. I took it and pulled it out.

"We have some things to do." I tried to explain to him, but before I knew it, he was on top of me. He said nothing and just looked at me.

"We may have a lead on the psychiatrist." I said out of nowhere. I needed to take his mind off it.

He raised an eyebrow. "What, since when?" he asked me. He sounded confused, which I understood. "I couldn't sleep, so I looked at Derrick's schedule."

He nodded and listened to me carefully, but didn't change his position. "It said he met with a guy named McKenna once a week." I then said. Talon sat up. The blanket slipped off his shoulders, bringing cold to the bed, but that didn't bother me. What bothered me was his expression. Something had disturbed him, upset him, but I wasn't the reason.

"Do you know him?" I asked softly.

"" Her"" He corrected me, snarling. I flinched briefly, but then sat up. He avoided my gaze, but his irritation was evident because of his bright eyes.

"She's a bitch." was all he replied. He knew her? Why?

"Talon, how do you know her?" I asked him. Slowly, he turned back to me. His glowing, red eyes regarded me. He tried to read my expression as he said, "She had been recommended to me. Apparently I hadn't taken our breakup so well..."

His voice was soft and careful.

I was speechless, surprised, but the emotion that trumped all others was sadness. I had never wanted to do this to him, I had never wanted to hurt him.

I slowly leaned forward until my head was on his shoulder.

"That's in the past, you don't have to feel guilty about it." He said softly, I didn't blame myself, I was angry at myself.

"Anyway, I know where we can meet her." He probably wanted to change the subject. "But I have to warn you. She can be bitchy, especially towards us."

I took my head off his shoulder and looked at him questioningly.

"Us vampires." he explained. A smile grew on my lips. "Is that so?" That sounded promising. If she didn't like us vampires, it was possible that she was helping them so well that they were willing to be killed. "You're smiling that creepy smile again." He said with a nervous laugh.

Morning came and we shared the news with the other two. It seemed they had known about it too, just couldn't remember. Since we were all familiar with the place, we wanted to leave immediately. I stood in the bathroom and tried to tame my hair as I did every day. Sometimes I toyed with the idea of just shaving them, but the way they reacted when I brushed them, I feared they would fight back.
