                                       Dark Side Of The Moon

I laid in my bed for what seemed like hours tears obscuring my vision suddenly I heard a knock at my door followed by a voice "Josh it's Mayhem ya in there lad?" the voice said, I said nothing I simply laid there weeping just then my door opened and I looked up to see Mayhem standing in the corridor "You okay lad?" Mayhem asked "No Mayhem, I'm not." I answered "Well I'm sorry about what you had to go through but we still have work to do, when you're ready come on up and Nitro will give you your next mission." Mayhem said as she walked away, I was crushed by what I had just gone through and Nitro was the last person I wanted to see right now but they expect me to just move on and do my job they don't care about me or Skitter or anyone else all they care about is their precious Resistance, I slowly rose out of my bed and placed my hand on my suit's chest piece my suit opened and I entered my suit my suit then closed automatically before I pulled out my assault rifle and made my way towards the hangar and once I was there I entered the command room where I could see Nitro and Mayhem "Josh..." Nitro said pausing for a moment and glancing over at Mayhem before returning his attention to me "I've got your next mission for you if you're ready." Nitro said, I just nodded my head before Nitro spoke again "You're going to space." Nitro said "What!" I said in a shocked tone "There is a Federation base on the Moon this is where the Federation docks it's fleet, I want you to go to the Moon and destroy the Federation fleet." Nitro explained "And just how do you plan on getting me to the Moon?" I asked "Simple there's a Federation space shuttle launch site in China we've intercepted a transmission from the Federation that said that they have a shuttle launching soon, I want you to go there and get aboard that shuttle before it launches." Nitro said, I stood there thinking about using the Vectum ship that took me to that strange planet to get to the Moon however if the Federation fleet is on the Moon then the Federation fleet would destroy the Vectum ship before it even got close to the Federation Moon base "Alright I'll get aboard that shuttle." I said "The transport will take you just outside of the launch site, get aboard that shuttle before it launches." Nitro said, "Alright." I said "If all goes according to plan the Federation fleet should be docked at the Moon base, destroying the reactor in the Federation Moon base should take out the Moon base and the Federation fleet." Nitro said "Right." I said "Oh and one more thing try to keep this quiet if the Federation finds out that you're in their launch site it's likely that they will launch the shuttle early." Nitro said "A stealth mission, got it." I said before turning around and walking out of the command room I then walked up to the crate of ammunition and refilled my ammo before making my way to the transport the back door of the transport opened and I stepped aboard and sat down "Take me to China." I said "You got it Josh." the pilot said as the back door of the transport closed and the transport took off and soared out of the hangar before making it's way towards China.

The transport arrived in China I looked out the window and could see the launch site before the transport landed the back door of the transport opened and I stepped off of the transport the back door of the transport then closed and the transport flew away I then activated my communicator "Nitro it's Josh, I'm here and I'm ready to get to work." I said "Remember keep this quiet if the Federation finds you in their launch site they'll launch the shuttle early." Nitro said "Yeah I got it." I said as I deactivated my communicator and began moving towards the launch site.

Arriving at the launch site I immediately took cover behind a nearby wall as I looked around the launch site to get my bearings, I could see Federation soldiers all over the launch site "Yeah a stealth mission, right." I thought before looking up and seeing the shuttle that was being prepared for launch as well as three large buildings nearby, two of the buildings were the same size and were on opposite sides of the shuttle and the third building was large and was behind the shuttle with a large window near the top I then noticed several metal walkways that went all around the launch site and could see that one of the metal walkways went up to the shuttle "I guess that's my way onto that thing." I thought, I began moving towards the metal staircase that connected with the metal walkways I activated my Cloaking Device and moved towards the metal staircase I began to ascend the metal staircase and work my way up towards the Federation shuttle doing my best to avoid bumping into any soldiers I came across "This Cloaking Device makes this almost too easy." I thought as I hid behind some crates on one of the metal walkways and deactivated my Cloaking Device to allow my suit's energy to recharge suddenly an alarm began to ring I frantically looked around I then looked up and noticed one of those hovering Robots like the ones I saw back in Kazakhstan looking right at me "Fuck!" I yelled, just then several soldiers approached me "Well I was never one for keeping things quiet." I said as I raised my assault rifle and fired at the soldiers, I took out the soldiers with little trouble before remembering what Nitro said "Oh shit, now that they know I'm here they're going to launch the shuttle early." I said, I then had an idea "If I can get to the control building maybe I can delay the launch." I said before running up the metal walkway I then looked ahead and could see Stahl staring at me just then he rushed towards me and attacked me, I ran from him before I continued towards the building.
