We're not too far now but the streets are beginning to get crowded, vehicles begin to honk their horns at one another and people further down the streets are running away. Possible chance they were near a tanker. Damn it.

I felt (Y/n) arms wrap around me tighter, she's seeing the streets, she can hear the screams... She's been through this before.

(Leon)- "We'll help them. Don't worry."

(Y/n)-"We're taking too long. We have to hurry."

(Leon)- "Going as fast as I can." Any faster and it'll be a head on collision with another vehicle panicking trying to escape. I make a sharp turn easing up on the gas and slowing my speed seeing the street roaming with the dead.

(Leon)-"Fuck!" I circle around taking a different route. This is going to take some time just to reach Chris.

(Time Skip)

(Y/n)- "Is that the hide out building?" Her eyes scan the scale of the the skyscraper.

(Leon)- "Yeah, Chris is in there."

(Y/n)-"Then lets head inside--" She was about to dismount but I revved up the engine making her stay in place.

(Leon)- "Hang on."

(Y/n)-"What're you gonna do?" I speed off breaking through the entrance glass of the building. I quickly glance over to the directional guides, I locate the staircase finding where I need to go. Luckily the building is empty and I can drive through without running into the staff. I maneuver the bike heading up the stairs. I'm unsure which floor Chris will be on but I guess we'll just hear the gunshots.

I hear multiple rounds go off-- they sound like a few more floors up. I continue moving forward until the shots are within hearing distance. We finally reach the same floor as Chris making a sharp left, I reach for my thigh holster equipping my handgun aiming steadily to give Chris the assist. It might be the one shot but at least back up finally arrived. He looks relieved but also has this smirk on his face. I park the bike off to the side turning the engine off, I dismount from the bike helping (Y/n) as well.

(Chris)-"About time you two showed up." He says as we approach.

(Leon)- "Sorry we're late. We had to take the stairs." He lets out a scoff with a small grin.

(Y/n)- "Chris, I'm sorry. I lost your handgun."

(Chris)- "That's all right. Here, this should keep you protected in the meantime." He unclips his combat knife and shows off by twirling it between his fingers until the handle faces towards her. I subtly roll my eyes with a grin.

An elevator bell dings down the hall, we all turn our heads towards the end. One person stumbles out of the elevator followed by more. Chris and I turn our heads towards each other, we both knew this had to be taken care of first. I turn to view (Y/n) and she nods, she grips the knife tight in her palm. I tilt my neck to the side slightly narrowing my eyes.
