Hey guys sorry this one's shorter than usual, but I wanted to get something out there since it's been a while. Give me some ideas for future chapters or anything you'd want to see happen! Hope you're all doing well!

Lizzie's POV

I wake up with Taylor starfished fully on top of me. Arms and legs splayed wide with her head resting on my chest. Taylor convinced me to stay over last night by claiming it was "too late to drive"—it was 7 in the evening. We spent the rest of the night binging the show from earlier, but with all the distractions... we're going to have to rewatch those episodes.

This morning we're supposed to talk about us? Last night? Our situation? Probably all of the above. I can't help the nerves settling in my stomach.

I feel Taylor's eyelashes as she blinks her eyes open. I run my hand through her silky, curly hair occasionally pausing to massage her scalp or give little scratches. "You're gonna make me fall back asleep if you keep doing that." With her face squished against my chest, the sentence comes out muffled. I smile at her cuteness and move my hand from her hair to her face, tracing over her features. Over her perfectly shaped eyebrows, across her closed eyelids, down her nose, and over her lips. Taylor kisses the pads of my fingers and finally opens those beautiful eyes.

"Good morning, sunshine," I say before leaning down to kiss the top of her head.

She moves to sit up which leaves her straddling my waist. She shifts her weight to her hands which are on either side of my head and smiles down at me. "Good morning, darling."

Lord have mercy.

Taylor starts to lean down, but my hands shoot up to her shoulders to stop her. Her smile falters.

"Morning breath."

Taylor smiles again at my response, but she grumbles a few unintelligible words, grabs my wrists, and pins them down. "I don't care."

Holy fuck.

Despite her words, she respects my wishes and only scatters a bunch of kisses around my face instead. I can't help the giggles that escape me. After a minute she pulls back a few inches and just stares at me with happiness shining in her eyes. I gaze up at her with a similar look on my face.

"We're going to go brush our teeth now because I need a proper kiss." Before I have the chance to respond she's already rolling off of me and dragging me to the bathroom.

Taylor's POV

"So we should probably talk."

I look up from my coffee to Lizzie. She's smiling, so that's reassuring. "Uh yeah," I clear my throat. "We should." I rub my lips together as I think of something to say.

"Taylor, you meant everything you said last night, right? Because it's starting to feel like a dream." A nervous look replaces her smile.

I set my mug down on the coffee table next to Lizzie's. I take her hands in mine and give a reassuring squeeze as I say, "I meant everything, Lizzie. Everything." I keep my face serious as I lock eyes with her. "Liz, all I want is you."

"Why didn't you say anything before?" She asks in a small voice.

"I- I thought you knew and just didn't feel the same way. And I know I never outright said anything and I think that's because I was scared. I've never felt like this for a woman before. Honestly I've never felt like this for anyone. Yes, I've known my sexuality for years now, but I've never acted on it. Despite all of that, I honestly thought you knew how I felt. I wrote so many and played so many songs for you that are about you. I thought it was obvious."
