This was the last place Chrissy Berman wanted to be. As if being the middle sister wasn't enough, now she was stuck as a counselor, but still got bossed around by Cindy and worse of all, she was stuck cleaning the mess hall with Nick Goode.
She grabbed a bucket and some sponges, cleaning the tables. It was going perfectly fine, until Nick decided to try to make conversation. You see, Nick wasn't bad — okay, he was everything Sunnyvale stood for: Prissy rich kids in mansions.
"Hey, Berman! You got extra sponges?" Nick asked.
Chrissy rolled her eyes. "I thought you had one."
"I did but it broke." He shrugged.
"Sucks for you." Chrissy replied as she went back to cleaning the table, but Nick was still there. She sighed, taking out a lighter and cigarettes. "Take a hint, Goode."
"Why do you insist on being such a prick all the time?" Nick asked. "Ever since you've come to camp you've seen so done with life."
"Ding, ding, ding!" She sing-songed at him. "I wonder what you won — spin the wheel!"
Nick glanced at the lighter. "Those things can kill you, y'know."
Chrissy sighed. "I know Nick — at this point I'm just speeding things up."
He rolled his eyes. "Does your life suck that much?"
"Correct again!" Chrissy exclaimed.
Just then, a counselor named Kurt came jogging in and they turned their heads. "Berman, we got a problem with your sister again!" Chrissy sighed and she walked out with Nick.

They ran a little deeper into the woods where they spotted, Nick's brother Will standing beside Sheila and her friends as Ziggy was hung up on a tree by her writs alongside her girlfriend Margo Sinclair. Chrissy's eyes widened and the sisterly instincts took over. Ziggy had a hard time at Camp Nightwing, more so than most.
Ever since their dad left, Cindy had been trying to cover an illusion over their lives that everything was fine and be a perfect Shadyside, doing anything she could to get out of there. Meanwhile, Chrissy had resorted to drugs like her mother. Then, there's Ziggy. Yeah, you get the picture.
Cindy, Chrissy and Ziggy were once close, but then the curse of Shadyside tore them apart.
"Hey, assholes! Put the lighter down — I swear to God!" Chrissy yelled.
"Nick, I can explain!" Will pleaded.
"Put them down!" Nick ran, catching up to Chrissy. "I swear to God, I'll tell mom!"
