Chapter 1: We Meet Again

(November 13th 2038)

Connor woke up with a start, he felt like crap for the first time in his really short life, he was adjusting to his new life as a deviant since he just deviated the previous day during the revolution, he still had nightmares about Amanda and all the things he went through when he was a machine. He looked at his hands, his pyjamas were just his boxers and a baggy shirt saying 'without me its just aweso', he dusted himself off as he struggled to get out of bed, he tumbled out and fell to the floor. "Connor, you up kiddo?" he heard Hank yell from the kitchen "In a minute Lieutenant, just gotta get dressed" Connor said nervously as he got up like a cartoon, "Jesus, Connor call me Hank would ya" Hank yelled back, Connor just smirked as he put his Cyberlife jacket on and fixed his hair in the mirror, his room was decorated with Polaroid pictures of his friends from Jericho, since they had a huge celebration after Markus's speech, most of the pictures were of him and Markus, but he also had pictures with North as she gave him a piggyback ride, he even took pictures of Simon and Josh when they were making thorium tequila, leading to explosive results.  He shut the door and started hearing some sizzling coming from the kitchen, he knew exactly what Hank was doing, and smiled.

When Connor came out of his room he saw Hank preparing breakfast for them and Sumo was watching intently while wagging his tail, it was eggs and bacon with toast on the side which made Connor almost drool. Hank was wearing a red apron that said 'Mr Good Looking is cooking', he was also preparing a thirium milkshake for Connor to drink, "Here you go kiddo" he said handing the milkshake over. Connor smiled at Hank but had one question on his mind "So any new cases today?" he asked, Hank thought for a moment "So far nothing else new about androids since the revolution yesterday, but the revolution is all over the news" Hank explained. Connor ran to the TV and turned it on, Sumo climbed on the couch and woofed at Connor "Hey big guy, good morning" Connor said to the St Bernard.

When the TV was turned on he saw Markus, an RK200 and one of his closest friends being interviewed "Holy Shit" Connor said under his breath, Hank joined them with a beer in his hand. "How are you going to progress after this revolution?" the reporter asked "I've already contacted President Warren to ask about Android citizenship since she called me after the revolution, I hope we can reach an agreement" Markus responded "What about the RK800 that helped you?" the reporter asked "Connor?, he still is working with the police and they've addressed his deviancy so we aren't being hunted anymore, he's still a friend of the revolution" Markus said.

Hank turned to Connor "Y'see kiddo, nothing new, besides you and Markus are almost like brothers since yesterday" he said nonchalantly, but Connor was grinning at what Markus said earlier "I'm still appalled, the revolution was a success and we're free, but I'm still having trouble finding a new path, it's only been a few days since I became deviant but I'm still stuck" Connor said "Thank god Fowler let you have the week off, but I'm stuck with Reed" Hank joked "I just hope he doesn't smack talk Androids anymore, especially after I broke his nose when I knocked him out" Connor joked "Holy shit, you and Reed fought? I wish I'd have brought fucking popcorn" Hank laughed "I'm not really proud of that, ever since then I promised not to harm humans without a reason" Connor commented.

Their joking around was interrupted by a knock on the door, both the man and the RK800 were confused "I'll get it" Connor said. When he opened the door he saw an RT600 android he instantly recognized from a hard memory "Chloe? What are you doing here?" he asked "Hi Connor, I mostly came to thank you" she said with that sweetness he liked, she was wearing her blue dress alongside some white winter boots, Connor looked confused as Hank walked in with a surprised look on his face "Thank me, for what?" Connor asked "For not shooting me when Elijah said to, I was scared for my life" she explained, Connor looked at her "You're a deviant aren't you?" he asked "Yes, I watched Markus's speech on TV two days ago, when I told Elijah how I felt he let me go, so I came to find you first, and then to find a new place to live, and to discover who I am, and I didn't know who else to turn to" Chloe explained, "That's a huge coincidence, I know someone who's having that same problem" Hank joked.
