02. The Flawless Princcess, Cassandra Aura Nugraha

"Good morning everyone.... I am Cassandra Aura Nugraha. First of all I want to thanked our Principal, Mr. Ardi Wiranto who gave us the opportunity to stand here and have a speech."

"In this opportunity, I wanted to thanked  Mr. Ardi Wiranto again who supports me and Intelligentsia's Olympiad Team for Maths and Science International Olympiad Week from the very beginning and gave us so much appreciation."

Pertama-tama Cassandra menyampaikan rasa terima kasih untuk kepala sekolah, selaku orang paling berpengaruh di sekolah ini, atas support dan apresiasi dari kepala sekolah yang diterima oleh ia dan tim olimpiadenya sejak awal. 

Kepala sekolah yang mendengarnya tersenyum bangga. Ini kali pertama dalam 12 tahun ia menjabat sebagai kepala sekolah Intelligentsia Internasional High School ada muridnya yang berhasil membawa pulang medali emas di Olimpiade Matematika dan Sains Internasional bergengsi yang diselenggarakan 3 tahun sekali. Selama ini, Intelligentsia hanya mampu masuk ke dalam semi-final, dan paling mentok mereka meraih medali perunggu. Ia merasa sangat bangga dan gembira sekarang.

"And I also wanna say thank all the people who supports me all this time. Especially my mother, father, and my family who have always supports me to persue my dreams and to do things I loved. I'm very grateful to be born in the family, thank you Mom and Dad...."  Gadis cantik itu tersenyum hangat. Intonasi dan raut bahagia itu sangat menandakan bahwa gadis itu benar-benar sungguh di setiap kata yang ia ucapkan.

" And of course thank you so much to all Intelligentsian, the Olympiad Team, my best friends, Tama, Aretha, Amanda, and Yi Feng who helps me alot at the time we prepare and study together for this competition. I really appreciate the supports that you guys gave me. That really means a lot. And to accompanying teacher for the International Olympic Week, Mr. Yang Jingzhou and Madam Sarah Aurelia. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for you for your patience in teaching and guiding me in this very important competition." 

"Maybe you guys didn't know that i almost not making it into the competition after several time I did many errors at my evaluation...."

"I was thinking to just give up back then because i really messed my try out and evaluations. There's many Intelligentsian in the Olympiad Team who also deserve to represent our school besides me. And yeah, I almost been replaced if I continue to show a decrease in the next evaluation. But Madam Sarah and Mr. Yang convince me to not and helped me a lot with my struggles and many things. They put so much faith in me and fight for me so that i can make it into the competition... and that's how i finally came out with the gold medal! I can't even imagine to stand here right now if you guys wasn't there at that such tough days."

Suara gadis cantik itu terdengar sedikit parau, mata yang tadi memancarkan kegembiraan kini berkaca-kaca mengingat saat dirinya hampir digantikan orang lain setelah dua minggu berturut-turut menunjukkan penurunan dan melakukan banyak kesalahan. Padahal ia sudah mempersiapkan diri sejak 2 bulan sebelumnya. Ia sangat kecewa terhadap dirinya saat itu.
