The general cleared his throat. "She's here."

The suicidal soldier's general?" The soldier asked looking towards the direction the general pointed out.

A young lady dressed in military clothes walked towards them. Her hair was slicked and packed, her face gave off a chilly yet dignified beauty. She was an exact description of the phrase, 'to die for'.

"Let me give you a brief recount of her 'wonderful training'.

Of all the soldiers in this unit, she's the one who I would say life had been completely cruel to.

A group of assassins murdered her entire family right before her eyes when she was just fifteen. She was almost admitted into a mental hospital after she chained herself in a pool for two solid hours trying to end her life.

She was rescued and just when we thought she had died, she surprisingly coughed a mouthful of water and fell into a coma for two months.

She was brought into the army when she was twenty. At that time she practiced arson on herself.

The officer's jaw finally touched the ground. "She planned on setting herself ablaze?"

"Her clothes were dripping with petrol when we got to her." The general said.

The SS general walked in front of them. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit? We weren't invited to join in fighting the Russians and I doubt the general will be so generous to have us celebrate together." She said curtly.

The general laughed. "You hold a grudge quite well. We only follow orders and that is what brought me here."

The general crossed her arms. "Where?" She inquired.

"North Korea. They plan on invading the country." The general replied.

The general pondered for a while then nodded.

"Sounds frightening. It's what I need right now, perhaps something more than that."

She saluted the general and turned to leave but he held her hand.

"General, the enemy are fully prepared this time around. Please be careful." He said.

The general removed his hands. "That's the least I plan on doing."

She turned to the suicide soldiers. "Everyone, we have an improtant appointment."

Immediately all the soldiers headed into different directions.

The general and his soldier watched as the SS aircrafts took off into the air.

"General, do you think they will make it this time?" The soldier asked.

The general exhaled sharply, "I can't say for sure but I do know one thing; the Northern army will definitely regret trying to invade Korea."

"General.... I mean suicide soldier 001, the enemy's aircrafts are fast approaching and this time they are really prepared for war." The soldier reported.

"And so are we right?" The general asked with a bright smile.

The suicide soldiers chorused "Yes we are!"

The general opened a cabinet and took out a bottle of wine.

"Before we entertainment our impending guests, why don't we have a drink? It seems to everyone that this might be our last battle. We should use this precious time we have left to cheer ourselves" she grinned a bit.

A Suicide Soldier stood up. "Then, why don't we ask suicide soldier 001 a few questions? We might never have this chance again."

The general chuckled, " alright, ask me any question I'll answer them gladly."

The entire aircraft went silent as everyone thought of a question.

"Suicide Soldier 001, when did you join the army?" A solider asked.

"When I was twenty. It has been a total of seven years now," she said.

"Suicide Soldier 001, if I may ask what is your real name?" Another soldier asked.

The general's smile stiffened for a moment before she replied. "It's Han chaeyeon."

The aircraft went silent again.

"Suicide Soldier 001, I overheard from those soldiers from unit two that you stayed underwater for two whole hours, is that true?" A solider suddenly asked.

The soldiers looked at her in awe. "Two hours?!"

The general managed another smile. "I wasn't aware of the time,"

"While you were there, wasn't it uncomfortable? Did you think of swimming ashore?" Another soldier asked.

The general sipped her wine.

"No. It wasn't uncomfortable at all, at a point I even forgot that I had to breathe, I felt very calm. There was no  screams, no pleading unlike that night..."

She looked at the rest of the soldiers and added,

"when my family got assassinated."

She slowly twirled the wine glass in her hand as those dark memories began to return. Her eyes becoming very distant and icy.

A soldier suddenly clapped his hands, "what is with the sad look on everyone's faces? We shouldn't be like this alright," he said.

His sentence seemed to return life into the aircraft as they all soon began to chatter away.

"Oh right General, if I may address you that way, that pool that you were underneath, I heard it ran centuries back." A soldier said.

The other soldiers picked up interest immediately.

"Really? Explain further,"

The soldier began in a dramatic manner. "There was this friend of mine who has this profound curiosity towards myths and ancient stuffs. I heard him talking about a temple that had a large lake right at the centre of the temple.

The strange thing about this lake was that no one knew how it came to be. The monks at the temple said that after a hundred days of meditation, they found a lotus growing right in the centre of the temple.

Strange isn't it?

The monks said they thought if it as a sign of blessing and purity so they didn't bother to remove the lotus. The next day, boom! There was a lake right were the lotus was.

Since having water in a holy place of worship wasn't a bad thing, they sealed off the temple and only the Royal family had access to it.

There was even a rumor that after every nine years, a lotus would suddenly appear in the centre of the lake and then if any sick person should have a taste of it the person would be healed instantly.
