Kate walked on through to the common area later that day, finding Natasha and Steve were sat there, deep in conversation. She heard part of there conversation before they realised she had come into the room, saying that it's better that she didn't find out. She wondered who they were talking about, until they looked over at her.

"Oh, hey Kate, how are you?" Natasha quickly asked, standing up.

This caused her to realise, they were talking about her, and now she knew the team were holding something back.

"What's going on?" She asked, heading over to the kitchen, and turning on the coffee machine.

"Nothing. We were just talking about a possible night out sometime, what do you think?" She asked, smiling.

Kate looked from Steve to Natasha, both acting strange, before she shrugged her shoulders.

"sure, why not"

"Great, I will get that in the works then" Natasha headed for the door. "Catch you all later"

Kate watched her leave, before going with her coffee over to where Steve was sat.

"What's really going on Uncle Steve?" She then questioned.

"Nothing" He answered.

"I know when you're lying, remember" She sighed, "It was something you were never able to do"

Steve took a moment., he wanted to tell her but he knew Tony wouldn't allow it either. He had been the one to give out the order, that nobody was to mention this to Kate.

"I was just telling Natasha, about your mother, you know, in case she put her foot in it or something. Then we were talking about our mission we have coming in later"

"You guys have a mission?" Kate asked, sipping from the cup.

"Yeah, tonight. Me and Nat are going to look into the building he has been going too a lot, and its opening soon, some gala opening, we want to look into it, find out what it is, who owns it, you know the drill, in case this is where he was planning to attack" Steve looked over to her. "What have you been doing?"

"Just waiting for Dad to tell us what we will be doing. I'm bored, can't I come with you guys tonight?"

Steve chuckled, then shook his head.

"No" He answered, still smiling.

She growled.

"Uncle Steve, I'm bored with waiting around"

"that's why you've been sparring with Bucky, this morning"

She quickly looked over to him, wondering if he had seen them together.

"Bucky told me" He answered.

Kate smiled, hiding it behind the cup.

"Did he also tell you I kicked his ass this morning?"

This caused an eruption of laughter from the other side of the room, looking over she found Sam and Bucky had come in.

"You never mentioned that she kicked your ass Barnes" Sam replied.

"That's because she didn't" Bucky retorted, not looking over.

"Is that how you were the one lying on the mat, like a little bitch?" Kate said, turning to look over at them, her eyebrows arched.

"I let you win" He stated.

"Prove it?" Kate taunted, daring him to say why.

Bucky opened his mouth to say something, then changed his mind.
