Kate stood outside the building down in Florida Keys, looking at what used to be the run down bar, that nobody wanted, now it was looking like an amazing place. They had just finished putting up the sign, and someone was turning it on, while she was watching. It was opening night, tonight, and she was excited.

A whole year, Kate had been travelling the world, meeting new people, but this is where she came back too, and this was where she was staying. The second she drove by the place, seeing the building, she could imagine herself settling there, and running the place. There was a few places here, it was like one of those long roads, stores, gas stations, and various other places dotted along the place. Her's was one of five bar places.

The lights came on, in red and gold, causing Kate to grin at it.

Iron Anchor.

"Its perfect, I love it" She said, looking over as Charlie came over from the side of the building.

Charlie was the book store owner, who was next door.

"Still don't know why you chose that name" She commented, shaking her head.

Kate shrugged it off, before heading inside, where her three bar staff were organising the stools, the tables, he drinks, and the stage.

"And what the hell are you thinking, opening night, karaoke night. Have you gone mad?" Charlie scoffed.

"It will work" She replied. "Have you sorted the place out on the decking?"

"Just about to boss" Louise said.

Kate couldn't believe she was actually doing this, not only had she bought herself a bar, and fixed it up, she had bought the house that was next door, and looked out over it, along with having the most beautiful view on the island. That building wasn't as run down as this one, but it needed fixed, now, even her father would be proud of the place.

"So, do you think you're gonna get much customers?" Charlie asked.

Kate shrugged again.

"I guess I just gotta hope and pray girl" She chuckled.

"For a miracle" She smiled.

"Right you lot, get off home, rest up, we might have a busy night lined up and I want you lovely people on top form for when the crowds roll in" Kate said.

She watched everyone walk out of the building, as she headed out onto the decking area. There was chairs and tables out there as well, along with the little steps to take you out onto the sand, where there was umbrellas and chairs there as well.

Kate was happy, she was finally starting to have a life.

"Place is looking good kid"

Kate quickly turned around, gasping at the sound of his voice.

"Dad?" She asked, like she wasn't believing this.

"In the flesh" He grinned.

She run across the room to him, throwing herself into his arms.

Feeling the lump in her throat and the tears in her eyes, as she held onto him, while he stood there, hugging her back, in one of his suits.

"What are you doing here?" She quickly asked.

"Opening night" He replied. "Didn't think I would miss the big opening night, did you?"

Kate smiled, then hugged him again.

"It's great to see you dad" She said.

"Miss you too kid" He grinned, pulling back.

"You want something to drink?" She walked towards the bar.
