China Northern Airlines was an airline headquartered on the grounds of Shenyang Taoxian Intl. Airport in Shenyang, China. CNA's callsign was CHINA NORTHERN. Founded in 1990, it was one of the six major airlines that were founded after CAAC's collapse. They ceased operation in 2004 when they merged into China Southern, which is kinda funny, considering they went from Northern to Southern. They relaunched in 2023. In 1995, their fleet consisted of 61 aircraft with 4 orders. China Northern had 3 incidents where atleast one of their aircraft was involved.
CNA's fleet in 1995:
10x Airbus A300-600R (acquired by China Southern)
6x Airbus A321-200 (4 orders, all of them got transferred to China Southern)
1x Antonov AN-2
27x McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (2 aircraft written off)
13x McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30
4x Xian Y-7-100s
I said it would be a longer chapter, it barely was... i was lucky here.
