Makima stood in front of the remaining devil hunters in the debriefing room.

She stared briefly at the few who remained left after the attack, one who still had her attention was Denji, but he would have to wait for now.

She turned her attention back to the devil hunters and began to speak.

"I am sure many of you are aware by now that we will be receiving aid from Zero Risk Security, a security firm, or a private military as some of you prefer to call them. Or mercenaries." She said.

A murmur echoed among a few of the devil hunters.

"However, this is only temporary, and all I ask for is your cooperation with them. These are experienced soldiers, so this will require teamwork. That is all I have for you now. Please resume your duty." She said before everyone got up and scattered around.

"Mercenaries?" Denji asked.

"Ha! As if these puny humans could distant the might of Power!" Power said enthusiastically.

Aki briefly stared off into space, briefly thinking about Himeno before he quickly snapped back to reality on his own.

He stood up and left the debriefing room.

...

In front of the Public Safety headquarters in Tokyo, a dozen black vehicles parked in front of the doors.

Dozens of security contractors quickly climbed out, wearing blue uniforms with many carrying pistols, submachine guns, and a few carrying rifles.

A few of the commanders quickly got out and were escorted to the doors by their guards.

When they arrived inside, Makima stood there with her bodyguards, awaiting them.

"Miss Makima." The head PMC commander said with a soft South African accent.

"Colonel Johan, it is a pleasure to meet you." She said, extending her hand.

Colonel Johan shook her hand as she glanced at the others behind him.

The men behind the Colonel were mostly white, but with a few black in complexion, but they stood in the same uniforms.

"May I show you the headquarters?" She asked.

Colonel Johan extended his arm and said, "Lead the way."

As Makima escorted the colonel and his men, many of his guards stood idle, ensuring the facility was secured.

As ZRS contractors patrolled around, many devil hunters glared a look of distain towards them.

Many felt they were going to be replaced, some felt they didn't have the skill, some some didn't like them simply because they were mercenaries.

As Makima showed Johan the facility, a thought began to linger in his mind.

It was a feeling he couldn't describe, but he knew that something was going to happen. He didn't know what, but he knew something was coming. Everyone knew it. Perhaps this was the coming of an age, paying mercenaries to handle tasks, simply pay mercenaries to do things since it would be easier than convincing people to sign on to join.

As the tour came to an end, Makima turned to Johan.

"And that is the entire facility." She said.

"This is an interesting setup. I'm more accustomed to some backwater outpost in South Africa. This is much better." He said.

"How so?" She asked.

"Air conditioning." He said.

Makima smirked.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask." She said.

"We'll take over from here, Miss Makima." He said.

"Just remember, we hired you for your security forces, nothing more." She said.

"Understood." He said.

After Makima left, ZRS took over, setting up their own headquarters within, setting up minor safehouses and outposts among the city.

Colonel Johan was in a room with his officers, Captain Janse van Rensburg, Captain Jansen van Vuuren, Lieutenant Adriaan van der Merwe, and Lieutenant Arno van Heerden.

They sat around a map, looking at positions with Kishibe.

"Makima has given me orders to tell you your orders." He said bluntly as the South Africans looked intently.

"Here, here, here, and here, are top priority locations. Alpha, Bravo, Zulu, and Delta."

"What's in there?" Captain Jansen asked.

"That's not what you are paid to know, you are paid to protect it." He said bluntly.

"What about these positions?" Lieutenant Arno asked.

"These are lesser important, Charlie, Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, and Yankee."

"What about the other callsigns?" Lieutenant Adriaan asked.

"Those will be protected by the rest of us." He said.

"We're hired to be your security, but remember, we can work as your MTF if needed, that would cost extra money." Captain Johan said, lifting his hand up and rubbing his index, middle and thumb together.

"I'm sure Makima knows that." Kishibe said, reaching unto his coat and pulling out his flask, taking a brief swig before burying it back under his coat.

"Is that all?" Captain Johan asked.

"So far." Kishibe said.

"Then that is all. Let's get to work, boys." Captain Johan said.
