Classified Manhunt

Colonel Johan stood with Makima as they stared at a whiteboard with clues of the Gun Devil on it.

"This is really not something I should be involved in." Johan said.

"I still need your forces, Colonel. If I need to, I can pay you more money." She said, turning to him.

Johan turned to her, resisting.

"Not necessary." He said dreadfully.

They turned back to the board.

"Aki has requested Special Division 4 not to be in the hunt." She said.

"Why si?" Johan asked.

"I'm unsure. But I need Power and Denji." She said.

"I'll make sure they are still assigned on. Just leave Aki's name off." Johan said.

"Thank you, Ajayi." She said, briefly turning her head back to him as he glimpsed at her.

The two turned back to the board.

"You do realize what we have to do to defeat this thing is impossible, right?" He asked.

"It is the only way." She said.

"You are going against one of the very threads that are threaded within human beings."

"Summon Denji, Aki, and Power to my office, I need Jansen presence too." She said.

"Right away, ma'am."

"Aki, Power, and Denji stood in Makima's office as well as Johan and Jansen, both by her side as she explained to Aki why she needed Denji and Power and she can leave his name off their manhunt list, but with a change of heart, he requested to be put back on, which she accepted.

"But, we have other matters to attend to." Johan said.

"Yes, while we are on the topic of the Gun devil, I must tell you." Makima said.

"This information is classified, and you will be severely punished for it if you tell anyone. Do you understand?" Johan asked.

Johan and Jansen looked at Makima.

"Now that all three of you are on the operation, I'll tell you what we know ow regarding the Gun Devil's current status."

Everyone was silent. You could hear a pin drop of Jansen's boot slightly squeak on the floor.

"As of now, the Gun devil has been defeated and confined."

All three of them stared at her in shock.

"No way!" Denji said.

"H-How?" Aki asked.

"...It had already been taken down by someone else and was in an unconscious state when we retrieved it. Currently, twenty percent of the Gun devil's body is possessed by the United States, and the remaining thirty-seven percent is held by devils around the world as flesh pieces."

Aki stepped forward.

"What about the guns that killed Himeno, Kurose, and all the others!? What about Zero Risk's armaments!?" He asked.

Makima turned to Johan.

Johan cleared his throat and stepped forward.

"The question on how we aquire our armaments despite being a PMC has been thrown around a lot. To answer your question, they are all man made, including ours."
